![]() Author has written 22 stories for Bones, Doctor Who, West Wing, Supernatural, Star Trek: 2009, and StarTrek: The Original Series. My personal philosophy toward writing is this: Brevity isn’t just the soul of wit, it’s the soul of good writing. I find it remarkably tedious to read novels that are 400 pages too long (here’s looking at you, Rowling), or fanfics that express in 7k words what they could in 700. I realize that this philosophy may not be reflected in my earlier writings, but as I come into my own as a writer I find that this simple truth resonates throughout everything I do. I realize there are drawbacks to this way of thinking. I’ve noticed that my descriptions of character and scene are sorely lacking in some places, although in fanfiction I think it’s sort of ridiculous when authors spend entire paragraphs describing a character or setting we’re all very familiar with. I like to think of myself as an impressionist, but it’s a flawed analogy. I write a healthy mix of the ridiculous and the (relatively) serious, or so I like to think, and I try to experiment with different styles, genres, and themes as often as possible. Expect to see mostly one-shots and drabbles on this page. It frustrates me to no end when I discover quality WIPs that have been abandoned, so I will restrain myself from posting anything that can’t stand alone or that I don’t feel confident I will complete within a reasonable timeframe. Off-site Fanfiction Due to rating restrictions on this site, some of my stores are archived at the K/S Fanfiction Archive and AO3. You can find me under the same pseudonym. Disclaimer: Don't own.
