Author has written 5 stories for Harry Potter, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and Hobbit. I love reading Harry Potter fanfics. the reason for this is probably because i HATE the way the books end, but i like the characters in the books. if J. K. hadn't written the epilogue it would be slightly better, but still not great. in the fanfics though, everyone can create what they think could happen, and i can be happy with the endings ;P I will read almost anything that is Hermione and an unexpected male character (but not Dumbledore, just EEEEEWWWWW). Timetravel fics are also great, and I like the ones where Hermione goes back in time, falls in love, then comes back forward and the person she fell in love with is waiting for her. Basically I like Hermione romance Timetravel fics. My favorite Hermione timetravel fic is definitely The Power of teh Wolf (it's in my favorites). Severitus fanfics are the other ones i read a lot. i only really like them when they contain something slightly different, and exciting, but not too wierd. My favorite Severitus fic is Heir to Prince Manor (it's in my favorites), and its sequel. These are the two 'genres' of Harry Potter fanfics i read the most, but I will read almost any that are interesting, and still make sense in the Harry Potter world. I think that J. K. Rowling sould have made Sirius come back from the Veil, and he should wind up with Hermione. i think that Hermione's studiousness and following the rules would be offset by Sirius' love of pranks and breaking the rules perfectly. Because Sirius is smart, he would be able to connect with Hermione on an intellectual level. Also, Hermione is WAY too mature to fall for any of the boys her age. (this logic can also apply to the Weasley twins, and Remus, and i support those ships as well). i think that having Ron and Hermione as a couple is the biggest mistake J. K. ever made (and i think she made some big ones). Ron is WAY too immature. i understand that people mature over time, but Hermione is on a completely different level of maturity. also, given Ron's lack of interest in learning and Hermione's ignorance in Quidditch, they would have nothing to talk about. they could have a brief fling, or something, but they don't have what it takes to make a lasting relationship (differences, AND similarities). And now you've heard all of the major points that i rant about with Harry Potter. |
