Omg, Amazing story!

love this story! would be great to have a follow up through ROTS...

Such a sweet ending

heartwarming story and wonderful characteruzations

Not sure if I've reviewed this (amazing) fic before on the three other times i've read it but i'm absolutely adoring Anakin and him immediately thinking of Obi-Wan as his brother and doing everything he can to help him. I love this premise and how it allows both of them to be more attached and therefore less emotionally constipated than in canon (although Obi-Wan's still giving it his best shot).

I really enjoyed reading this story, cheers.

I quite enjoyed reading this fic, and I honestly don't find it lacking at all compared to Simple Steps (although I did like that one a little better, if only because if the super-bond). I especially liked the exploration of Dooku-I feel like most fics just don't really capture his complexity, so it was nice to get to know his character a little in the last couple of chapters. It would've been nice to see the next arc, but eh, this is a pretty good place to stop, since dragging a fic too long can sometimes make it not as great... still, I hope you two decide to write another Star Wars fic soon because I'd love to read it.

I just binge read this in one day, and can I say, I was so happy! It shows real talent when you can make a fic like this so intense without really tons of action! Obi Wan used a lightsaber like twice, and you still managed to make it so intense emotionally!

There were just SO many moments that I couldn't handle because they were just so good and well written! And then it only made it better when the action finally did come it was JUST SO GOOD!

There were minor grammatical errors I saw throughout, but those are all things that could be solved with a simple read through.

But there were just simple amazing things like how they helped Anakin realize about being selfless and when Anakin first saw Qui Gon and Dooku being the Grandpa, and Obi Wan ROASTING the litigators on Naboo and on Coroscant! Ugh this fic was just great and I want Y'all to know how much I loved it!

19 Jedi Masters left the order. Knights and Padawans had a higher turnover.

Most Jedi are proficient in the basics of Force healing. Accelerate Healing to be precise. Which increases natural healing times and working with healing equipment.

Broken bones were simple fixes and did not require such a lengthy recovery time. Bacta was a wonderful thing and one didn't need to be immersed in it to use it. From treating concussions to broken bones. It was a must have for physical injuries/trauma.

Interesting chapter and plot and idea

The more I read, the more i find Kenobi to be fucking arrogant.

His treatment of Anakin, in the temple a Padawan and a Master had entire support system, that allowed the Master to focus soley on the Padawan.
Clearly they don't have it here, so instead he refuse any type of help, and who suffers from it Anakin.
When Anakin tries to help he further admonish him.

Is he that much out of touch and reality ?
As logical he want to be, when you got wrong facts you get wrong results no matter how rational is the procces you engage.

Further, he take no advises, he act on his own without consulting anyone, why because he is a Jedi Knight and the Jedi knows best.
Council arrogant again.

Did he consider the people of Naboo, when he figure out the Trade Federation is fucking with them again.
Anakin findings might have more impact.

Not to mention his treatment of the Queen, who just wish to help, instead he turn her off, again hurting Anakin.

The concept of the fic is marvelous.
However it raise some questions regarding internal consistency.

1) Why Padme as a queen doesn't take more interest in them?
Kenobi is a Jedi, he has many skills, he could be a Counsular, or find work in teaching or security forces.

Suppose Padme can't use her official ties to help them (which is weird since they are defacto war heroes, Anakin role in taking down the control ship, swayed the battle.
Padme does have personal resources she can use to help them, and family, they are quite rich.

On top of everything, why efforts to free Anakin Mother aren't done.
The Social worker just didn't touch that concept.
What about psychological treatment for ex-slaves.
Slavery can cause CPTSD and other mental issues.

Excellent story. I enjoyed it very much. Thanks for taking the time to write it. If you ever have time for a sequel I'd love to read it.
