![]() Author has written 31 stories for Doctor Who, StarTrek: Voyager, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, Mentalist, NCIS, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. Since FFN posted the notice dated June 4, 2012 regarding the finer points of differences between M rated (allowed) and MA rated (not allowed) material I have made an effort to edit to tone down smuttier bits of my stories to honor community standards here. I do hope that the changes made maintain the essence of steamy goodness while eliminating the elements which cross the line. The more explicit versions of those stories are available on Archive Of Our Own http:///users/MerriWyllow/pseuds/MerriWyllow There is something my readers should know about me: When I am writing, what I am interested in is the emotional logic of the characters. I think plot points through only so far as they serve my exploration of what they think and feel, and how they communicate with each other. If I have left loose threads dangling in the plot, it is probably because I made my point with what was already there. As a reader and as a viewer, I don't mind having some things left for my imagination. Next time someone asks me what fanfiction is good for, I'm going to tell them it fights cancer. Erm, it's not my cancer and it's not my fanfic. While the rest of us were saying, "No, no, no!" over the announcement of a friend's cancer metastasizing to her bones, someone whose mind is more brilliant by far than mine responded by writing a fic in which her favorite ass-kicking character was turned into our friend's immune system, and proceeded to lay down the law to the cancer. Ages ago, I wrote a bit of Treksmut. I posted it to a site I created on Geocities, which has since gone the way of all flesh. After some encouragement (thanks, LittleMender) I'm putting it up here, as well as the trickle of things I wrote for BTVS, and Doctor Who. This is all old stuff. I haven't been writing in those fandoms lately. Recently I have found myself entranced by The Mentalist, and have been writing fic to prove it. Bit of a Jane/Lisbon shipper, me, but at least the lighter stuff I have written for them is more indirect, innuendo, rather than overt declarations of looooooovvvvvvvvve. Because I have the tendency to forget to include disclaimers directly in my stories, I'll put one here: A vague disclaimer is no one's friend: I wish I owned every bit of of the fruit Joss Whedon's fertile imagination, if for no other reason than to give Firefly to Nathan Fillion. Sadly, I do not. I don't own Doctor Who (If I did, would I think a jumper was a girl's dress?) either. Nor yet do I have any rights to Star Trek: Voyager. And I certainly do not have any delusions of grandeur regarding possession of The Mentalist. If wishes were horses, there would be a lot more manure in my living room, and a lot less on television. If anyone takes the notion to sue me, such a person would be vastly disappointed by the loot to be had from my coffers: I am a professional caregiver, and my wages are determined by the legislature of whichever state I reside in. P.S. I post as WindSparrow on LJ and a few other places so if and when I get around to posting links there to my stuff here, no honest reader need fear that WS is plagiarizing MW. http:/// |
