Munkeyfump20 chapter 1 . 9/24/2017 Oh so sweet thanks for the very good read |
rcfan77 chapter 1 . 1/15/2015 I totally agree with you on janes assesment with Cary Grant! he is a gentleman! And this story was, as all the others very beautiful! :) |
hardly loquacious chapter 1 . 2/21/2012 Oh, I loved this one. Really, loved this one. I am all for this Jane and Lisbon dancing to old music. And I love the idea of Cho having to ask his colleagues to a family thing, and then having to run interference for Lisbon. That's *hilarious*. This might be one of my favourites of this whole series. I just love it. (Also, yes, I am almost a year behind on fic, but I am tentatively trying to catch up...) |
Aeidhryn chapter 1 . 2/1/2012 Why are you so awesome? These fics make my life better by a large amount. Ahh... apparently they also suck out my writing ability. *headscratch* "by a large amount"? True, but, uh, weird. Anyhow, consider me HAPPY. |
Afterglow04 chapter 1 . 9/23/2011 I'm so glad you decided to turn to Cho for another holiday, the more the better! And what a nice poem to go along with this holiday and the title, I liked that. Cho amused me in this, it reminded me of why I do still like his character. And the fact that he learned his interrogation techniques from his mother made me laugh, along with him dialing his mom's number in a good mood and then you have the next sentence informing us how miserable he is two hours into the party. This was hilarious and I could picture all of it so clearly. "Insatiable, leather-clad, stiletto-heeled dominatrix?" - LOL. You gotta love Jane at a party. Their dancing and the setting you gave us for it were perfect, and I'm still very much hoping they'll eventually take that step forward. If only because you write it all very believably, and the progression of their friendship so far has been a treat to follow. I love every little "next time". Oh, and you probably see Jane that way, because he *is* that way. At least, that's also what I like to believe. Of course it's a side of him we hardly ever get to see on the show, but I'm convinced he's a romantic at heart, and would use all of his charm and romance to sweep Lisbon off her feet if he set his mind to it. |
lizook chapter 1 . 8/30/2011 Ok, I think this is my favorite so far. There was something so nice about getting a glimpse of Cho's family as well as seeing the others react to that environment. The bit with his cousins was especially nice - our Lisbon sure knows how to attract them, eh? - not only for Jane's understanding of what happened and helping Cho out, but for him just genuinely wanting to be the one she can trust and turn to. "Lisbon had turned until her forehead rested against the join of his neck and shoulder, and when he inhaled deeply and exhaled a shuddering breath, he was sure she broke some law of physics by leaning into him even further." Love that image, so sweet yet intoxicating. Looking forward to the next one of these and crossing my fingers one of them takes the leap soon! Nice job here! |
lysemma chapter 1 . 8/29/2011 Just enough of fun and sweetness. Your story is perfect. I'd love to see a scene like this in the show. Thanks for sharing this fic with us ;) |
Donnamour1969 chapter 1 . 8/23/2011 Sorry I didn't review this before when I first read it-my computer was not cooperating. But I wanted to make sure you knew how much I enjoyed this! Cho-centric fics are hard to come by, and this one was very well-done. Loved the dancing of course! Jisbon is always lovely when written by you. Looking forward to the next holiday. Thanks for the great fic! |
s-damon-s chapter 1 . 8/23/2011 I don't have the time to explain exactly how much I enjoyed this but I must say you're my heroine :D These "next times" are awesome, I can't say how much I love them. I like the bittersweet, the temptation, the perfect dialogues (always your dialogues!), the descriptions, the dances... and the songs ! My gosh, I'm a great fan of Sinatra and now, I just keep listening "All the way" with the smile of a six years old when it's Christmas. This is brilliant and fantastic and I'm dying, waiting for another next time, another wonderful story from you. :) |
Nat D chapter 1 . 8/21/2011 Wow. That one was so entertaining! I love Cho! His whole demeanour is so funny! My favorite line from the show is one of his ("With just one phone call I can end your career!" some guy tells him, and he responds with a very nonchalant "That's impressive. Best thing I can get with a phone call is a pizza", haha!). And, since Jane is this whole married-unmarried, deep and complicated - and very much Lisbon's, btw - charachter, my little crush on the show goes to Rigsby. Soft, silly, sweet sweet sweet, Rigsby, who surprised me when he undressed to wash himself that time he knocked a guy on a lake. Loooove me some Risgsby but MAN! The timing on him! Better yet, the timing on LaRouche. Stupid LaRouche. I love that you choose not to go by the official calendar. Makes better reading for us. I'm anxiously waiting for #9. Great, great job! Oh, and "All the Way" is one of my favorite songs. I particularly like the version where Celine Dion sings with him. She made a beautiful montage on her Vegas concert. You should check it out, it's beautiful. P.S.: Sorry for the huge text. |
Amri91 chapter 1 . 8/16/2011 In the light of the recent developments in the show, I can understand how hard it must have been for you to keep that aside and write this story. I do know that you have been writing the holiday series for a long time, but still. Reading this story has provided me just the solace I was seeking, and has transported me to a pre-season 3 finale scenario. Thanks a lot for sharing this with us, I loved it! |
AVG18 chapter 1 . 8/15/2011 I'm always looking forward for the "Next Time" series and this installment was awesome, so much that I looked up in youtube the songs to have them as background music, and you are right, they fit Patrick like a glove! I'll wait for the next one, keep up the good writing! |
Lo79 chapter 1 . 8/15/2011 I'm going to bed with a happy little smile on my face. Fine..it's a stupid big grin! Thank you for that. That was so good! I can picture it, hear it, sense it and taste it. Absolutely loved it as always. I love Cho but I especially loved him in this. I loved his grandmother giving Jane the record. Things seem so much easier from an outside perspective. Favorite line: He'd actually been watching them for several years—the ebb and flow, the give and take, the push and pull . . . the gasoline and match. That's exactly what they are...separately rather innocuous, together incendiary. I totally agree with you that Jane's a throwback and Lisbon is a tender-hearted but hurt-wearied woman completely unprepared for the romance and sentiment such a man would use to sweep her off of her feet. I love the romance of old music nothing compares. That's them in a nutshell. Just when I think I'm getting another chapter in a few weeks, I have to wait a month! It's so worth it, they keep getting better! I'm so happy that you kept going. Absolutely phenomenal.I can't believe I would have missed this. That would have been a crime. You have a way with words. Thank you and until next time. I'll just read it once more before bed. |
csijenniferlynn chapter 1 . 8/15/2011 This was a lovely fic. I adored all of it. As usual, you portrayed each character perfectly. I loved it when you called the twin geniuses "Dazed" and "Confused." That cracked me up. I loved the dancing by the water garden, too. I can't wait for next time! |
xRDJ603 chapter 1 . 8/15/2011 Aww this was so sweet :) i cant wait to read your others |
