Awwww the letter made me actually cry. And I don't cry! What an amazing fic. You are actually my favourite writer, you never fail to impress me. Thank you so much for writing so many fics! It's going to be sad when I get to the end of them all :(

I just watched this episode, and it was so painful. Then I found your oneshot, and it fixed everything so well. Exactly the type of conversation that I can picture them having at this point. I loved how everything was understated here. Lots of subtext, lots of reading between the lines/lies. Just perfect. Thanks!

AHnsbtjsk! This one-shot was so freaking good!
I LOVE and MISS Jane and Lisbon arguing and these confrontational dialogues you wrote, you NAILED it on this story! Goddamn, it was so good! All the tension and anger and love that they were struggling with was amazing! I love that the final scene somehow mirrored the last scene of "Blue Bird", in the sense that Jane was joking around "You really don't have any patience, do you?" and Lisbon wasted no time and asked him if he would take back what he admitted, "Did you mean what you said?/No joking matter". It's awesome to see how good you are that you actually captured how it their confession would be.
No doubt Lisbon is Jane's blindspot and it's very in character for her to not see herself as that since she's always doubted the extent of what she meant to Jane.
"I can tell you that seconds loves are as true as the first. Mine was." What a lovely line and brilliant way to indirectly confess she was the/a love of his life.
Again, I need to say I loved reading them "fighting" over their situation, over things that they couldn't admit or act upon. Just like Blue Bird, there was a "conflict/fight", except this was much more interesting because it explored a lot more and they SAID a lot more things. (Thank you!)
This was my favorite reread tonight. I must repeat this these next days so I shall save other fictions for later. On a final note, PLEASE keep writing for The Mentalist, I hope these comments fuel your desire to do so. I'll definitely be here waiting.

Loved this...and you know, what with the canon letters of late, and with the, well, though-not-killed-by-Jane-in-self-defense, but definitely canon dead Red John, who's to say that your other Jisbony premise won't see its time as well? A girl can certainly dream, ya know?
