It's a while since I have re-read this fantastic story. All the characters and their reactions are perfectly drawn. I was a little hazy on where you had left it but can't help feeling that it's pretty close to being finished. Just wondering if you are any closer to getting your Sam/Jack mojo back? It would be wonderful to see that final connection between Sam & Jack restored, a chance at happiness after all they had endured.
