Author has written 7 stories for Kuroshitsuji, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Beelzebub/べるぜバブ, Teen Wolf, Harry Potter, Lie to Me, and Hannibal. Welcome. I'm not dead yet. I'm coming back as a zombie. Don't worry, I've just found the Undertaker picture that is currently my avatar. I nearly died when I saw that picture. Literally almost died. I was that excited. Yea. I'm weird =] But this is good news since I feel a fire to rekindle What Happens, Stays. I think there needs to be a list of favorite favorites. Like I have my favorite stories but then I have the ones that have been my Life changing favorites (my first loves): "Home" by Lanaea, "Bad Jokes" by Doctor Harley Quinn (the fanfic that started it all for me), "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" by J-Horror Girl, "Highway Chile" by Hollywood Grimm, "Tokens of Interest" by cruelestmonth, "A Macedonian Tale" by Zophiel Lagace, "Tainted" by R.L.Pervell, and "Counting Bodies like Sheep" by underxmyxumbrella (the link's to archiveour own b/c that's where she has the full story!). Thank you guys so much for writing these. Favorite HP/LV/TMR (Why LV and TMR different categories, I'll never know): Lightning (awesome anticipating action), Hidden Persona's (about Harry hiding his true powers and trying to fight a Dark Lord who tries to unmask him), Ashes (cute AU about Tom, the 'insane' patient of Dr Harry), Standing (hilarious scene with Harry digging in Tom's lungs/entrails to get his wedding ring back!),"Counting Bodies like Sheep" by underxmyxumbrella, "Tainted" (why isn't this one like 100x more popular?), and anything by Athey or Leontinastardust. Sometime in January (4th?) 2013 Things I don't like: Mary Sue: I get it. You want to make your character badass, but a perfect character is not a character. He or she is just a cookie-cutter of all of the "I wish I were this..." A character needs to have flaws because a character is ultimately a human who has yet to be born. The following two are just subcategories of Mary Sue: Japanese paraphernalia in non-anime fanfics: If your character has a pet/best friend/demon/whatever named Kawaii, Sakura, Hitsugane, whatever. If your main character wields a "katana!" Why? Unless you're actually Japanese or in Kill Bill, there is no need to emulate Japanese culture. I once read a story where Harry Potter was a katana wielding badass. First off. Harry Potter is a wizard with magic! Why the hell does he need a katana? Well, I could see the uses but it seems a little odd. Fem!boy stories: These I don't mind quite so much, but I don't like to read them. To start off with, by making a boy protagonist a girl, you're demonstrating a high likelihood that the story will be Mary Sue because it seems like you're trying to turn a character to mirror who you want to be (by first changing his gender). That said, I would love to see a Mas!girl story because I have yet to see one. Imagine a boy Hermione. Bad grammar: It's distracting. If the plot is good enough (or if I'm bored enough) I will read it, but it sucks to see good stories not being nearly as good as they could be because of some spelling/idiom/grammar mistakes. I know I make a ton of mistakes in my, especially earlier, stories. I suggest good betas all-around. Thursday, 27 December 2012 Well, those favorites of favorites are the ones I keep closest to my heart. In that order, actually (though it's a close call between Home and Can't). Anyhoo, I've realized that I have like barely any non-slash favorites! Oh wait! No, I do have non-slash favs! Chichiro/Kohaku. Grace (OC)/Joker. ... Um... Oh, River/Simon (incest but still not slash!)... ummmm... Kagome/Sesshomaru (for obvious reasons)... Zoro/OC (do those count?)... Alice/Hatter. 6/71. Not bad xD I thought I had a lot less... Almost 10%. Almost. =] Tuesday, July 24, 2012 Btw. A really, really cool manga you should check out: Adekan. It says it's sho-ai, but it's not really. I'm on like the 12th chapter and it hasn't inclined that way (though they do joke about it). The artwork is so different but beautiful. Saturday, December 24, 2011 (Happy Christmas Eve everybody!) I've been going through people's profiles and seeing a lot of those abortion poems that start with "Month 1: Mommy..." The thought of babies dying is sad and sucks, but it also bothers me that some people condemn other peoples' right to choose. It's kind of funny in the most hypocritical way. For example, if a teenager gets knocked up and she keeps the baby, she's condemned for being a teenage mom and even a "whore." If a crack addict keeps her baby, she's condemned for being a bad mother and for giving birth to a crack-addicted baby. But, if both women choose not to have the baby, they are condemned as evil, evil women who hate babies and are evil people in general. Those who try to force their beliefs on others do not try to help and pick up the pieces of the aftermath. After their beliefs have been promoted, why would they need to stay and help? They've received their self-gratification, why should they stay? All I'm saying is that everybody needs to remember that 'people' is not a collective society but an amalgamation of individuals, meaning everybody has their own problems, own situations, own beliefs. I won't say that "Abortion is horrible. Abortion is evil." but I will say "Abortion depends on the situation and those considering it really have to think about what they are doing, think about whether or not they'll regret it, and get advice from people at the clinic or their family or people who had been through abortion before." Different people support or do not support abortion for their own reasons, so let them decide whether or not it is okay for them. There's no reason to use scare tactics like "You are killing your baby!" because I think that people, as long as they don't have people force-feeding them ideals and scaring them, with help and advice can think for themselves. Saturday, November 19, 2011 Holy duck. I just read my profile from like 2 years ago. I don't want to delete it because it's ... me from two years, but it's also really embarrassing so I want to delete it. Yea that's all I wanted to say. If you can tell from my writing, I don't really sound like that. Probably. (3 years ago...) Where I live, the summers are around 100 F daily and winters are almost non-existent. it actually did snow once back a few years ago. They always say we'd get snow every 20 years or so. My mind simply won't choose whether or not i can choose one favourite color. Now I should choose a favourite out of my palate of favourite colors: light purple, sky blue, grey, white, maroon. Some of my more hated colors: purple, especially light purple. I'd like to think that I am very thoughtful. I do think a lot. And I like to think a lot. It always helps to talk. Not to anybody of course, just talking. Music? I like all music. I respect music and musicians. If I hear anything I like, no matter what it is, I like it. But unlike some friend I know (ahem), I do not devote myself to music. Sometimes the silence is better. This sounds very much dark, no not dark-thoughful, i think, but silence is just so much more calming. Music persuades you to feel in one direction. And it does not help I'm listening to metal at this moment. I love the sky, cats, nature -not so much flowers although they are real nice to look at, I'm not carazy for them trees on the other hand though...- , nice mattresses (I have a crappy one), |
