I love this story. Believe it or not I read it years ago when I had just gotten into the dgm fandom and Kanda and Allen where my one and only ship. Then I read your fic and suddenly Tyki and Lavi where another ship I couldn’t get enough of. I hadn’t even entertained the thought of them being together until I read your fic. You got me into shipping them and having them be one of my go to otps. Every once in a while I come back to this story to re read it, always remembering this fic and it never getting old. I’ve read it countless times and it still makes my heart ache when they fight and don’t talk to each other, and the ending still makes me smile no matter how many times I read it. So I just wanted to say thank you, for introducing me to this amazing ship and for creating this story that for years now, has always been a favourite of mine.

Just a Lil note: I'll be doing a huge review dump about this story when I finish reading itI love it so far and its great plot and relationships (lol like really, I think I'm really starting to like the lucky ship) really motivated me to favourite it.

Thank you for this fic, I really, really love it. This is my first DGM fic ever! I wanted to read some yullen, but I found it tempting and after reading I know I will worship LUCKY! Never thought that I will like it so much. Your writing is excellent, plot was very interesting, smut... well... I love smut, sooo greaaaat work! And I don't mind my teeth rotting from fluff, because I also like it a lot. I'm only said cause in the ending my heart skipped a beat when I saw info about sequel and now I see there is no such a thing... I hope you're all well and maybe some day you'll decide to write somme more! I will be waiting for it! Kudos!

I just wanted to tell you how amazing this story is! The incredible characterization and depth, the realistic plot line, and smooth transitions. This took me about a week to finish the first time, and I was so hooked I couldn't put it down. I've read it at least 3 times since. Before I came across the story I never even thought about lavi pairing up with tyki, and now I personally can't ship him with any other character. This amazing fic had such deep moments that you couldn't help but feel with the characters. I can't even begin to describe how much I love this fic. Your writing is incredible! Thank you for sharing it with the world.

I gotta say I really REALLY love this a lot! I love your writing style, I love the way you never forget about anyone's powers and mostly, the way the characters are actually who they're supposed to be. If you allowed me, I would be more than pleased to translate this amazing piece of art (and heartbreak sometimes) to czech.

I'm really satisfied with how this story went. I had genuine fear that he would have left with Bookman, but I'm glad he chose to stay with the Order and stayed with Tyki.

This fic is so very incredible .. i have read this more than 3 times ... i love how u put everyone in character and i would really love to see a sequel this fic is so worth continuing .. i know its been years but i really do hope u come back and make a sequel im sure everyone would agree with me on this

I really enjoy reading fanfiction and even though i rarely favorite stories, i thought this one was worth it. Since it's been a while since this was last posted i was wondering whether to review or not, but in the end i just simply had to. I found A Game Of Poker via recomendation, and i must admit was very please with it. This is one of two or three stories (fanfiction specifically) that i considered a truly piece of art. They are so well written, the plot was well thought and they made me cry and root for characters just as much.
I will admit that i found some inconsistencies in the plot and couldnt quite agree with some part of the develpment, but even though i loved it all the same. For all of that, Kudos to you!
Ps: I particularly loved the participation of Bookman and Krory, their participation was truly genius!

Okay wow um, you posted this a really long time ago. I know that, because this fanfiction was the first fanfic I ever read. Ever. First introduction to yaoi, first run in with fanfic. Back in the day I was at the wee age of 12, and there were only a couple chapters out. Anyhow, I really /really/ doubt you still check your reviews, or have access to your e-mail, or will even see this to be perfectly honest.

But I just want you to know (and this is going to sound really crazy) that this silly, cute fanfic has literally changed my life in really weird ways. I read this fic back when I wasn't very good at reading, was struggling in school, and could not stop laughing because I thought homosexuality was totally ridiculous.

When I first starting reading, I thought it was just hilarious. Then as I slowly got sucked into the story, I 1) began to realize how g8 yaoi was, and 2) began to read fanfic. Neither of those two things are singularly important- but I did begin to read a lot more. And the more I read, (shockingly) the better of a reader I became. Eventually, I even began to write my very own Lucky fanfic, all at the wee age of 12-13.

That was 7 years ago now, and I just went through to reread this fic just for fun. I am now 19, attending a prestigious university, and an English major. I know it probably sounds utterly crazy to associate all these things to reading this one silly fic back when I was in middle school, but all the events and my love for literature really transpired after I found AGoP. So.. thanks, I suppose? I don't read much fic anymore, nor do I write it, but you actually changed my life. Once again, I really doubt you'll see this. On the off chance you do though, I want to congratulate you for writing a great fic (at 18-19! Very impressive) and for inspiring others.
