I realize how wrong it was of me to essentially leave without saying goodbye (not that I'd ever really leave FFN - I enjoy it too much!), and I'm looking forward to my triumphant return. Let me explain. I'm sure you've already guessed from my personal info that I'm in the U.S. Army, and since my last posting in April, my unit got very busy with pre-deployment preparations, and everything was a whirlwind until about late July, at which time I was hunkered down in a quaint little building in Kandahar Province, Afghanistan. Being deployed hasn't been too bad thus far, but internet access out here is spotty at best, and for the longest time, I couldn't even access this site till recently. I expect to be in Afghanistan till next July, and I'm not sure if I'll be doing any updates to any of my stories in the meantime. Even if I don't, I intend to return to writing fanfics once I get back to the states, though, so don't you worry! |
