Author has written 2 stories for Harry Potter.
First, about me: I've recently started University. For now, the workload is quite light, however I am well aware that that will change after the Christmas Holidays. For now, the aim is to attempt a chapter a week, roughly, although this may not always be possible due to other commitments. Whatever happens though, chapters should still be more frequent than they have been for the last two years. My favourite series is still Harry Potter, and has been for five years. I love Harry and Ginny as a couple, so won't write anything without them together - they will always be my main pairing in my stories. As you can probably see from my first story, Repercussions of the Chamber, I may even try to push them together too quickly, but I can't help that. I don't really have any other opinions on pairings, so any other characters could be with anyone in my stories. My favourite book in the series has to be Deathly Hallows, but this may be biased. I really enjoyed OotP when I first read it, but since then reading and watching both it and HBP has become a hardship, as I hate seeing Harry or Ginny with anyone but each other, so they have been knocked down the list. My Stories:
I don't have a beta currently, and am not in the position to look into getting one. All proof-reading of my work is done myself, so all blame for incorrect spelling and grammar is appointable to myself. However, please consider that if it is part of speech, it may be me considering that that is how I feel they would speak in that situation. Reviews are most welcome, and constructive criticsm for me to improve my writing is especially welcomed. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to PM me. I will always try to reply the same day, but I am a young leader at my local Scout Group, and so I periodically end up on week / weekend camps without any access to fanfiction to send replies, regrettably. To help lighten the load, if your review is along the lines of "Great Chapter", the answer will always be thanks. If there is more substance to it, like a question or suggestion, I will try to reply to it individually. For the guest who reviewed with a lesson on law and wills: How would I know? I'm a teenager who has never been exposed to the intricacies of wills before, and have never had an interest in studying law. I know at least one other fic I have read had a joint will, so I haven't just made it up myself - and who's to say it wouldn't be different in the Wizarding World anyway? As far as I'm aware, J. K. Rowling (as wonderful as she is) never gave any details on wizarding wills. But thanks for the lesson - I'm sure it will help me in the future! Favourite Stories: Most of my favourite stories are in the favourite stories tab of my profile. This includes the stories that I have drawn inspiration from (there are so many it would be impossible to give individual credit to all of them - I don’t remember which story half the ideas I have were prompted by). However, some of my favourite stories are not posted on this site. I cannot remember all of them off of the top of my head, but here are a few, in no particular order.
Updates: 29/8/17: Now back from Holiday and Camps, so I should be back to writing again soon. However, I have reached the point where I have nothing already prepared, so you, as a reader, are now seeing it as soon as I complete it. (PS: Sorry for all the underlining, I can't seem to get rid of it no matter what I try) 25/3/18: Several changes have been made to the main profile. I’m very busy currently, and it is unlikely that more than one chapter of RotC will come out before July. 25/10/18: As you'll no doubt have noticed, RotC is starting to get updates more frequently. Having started Uni, I spend less time playing computer games with my friends, so more time is available for me to write, in and around studying. My current plan is to aim for a chapter a week, give or take a few days, at least until Christams - but we'll see how long that holds up before I start running out of time to finish chapters. I don't want to compromise the length or quality of chapters to get them out quicker. On that note - I will eventually go back to edit the first dozen or so chapters. They were all pre-written and posted in quick succession, so I didn't know until then how long they actually were. The edits will include fleshing out the chapters, and maybe combining chapters 3 and 4 into one longer chapter. This will happen when I have finished RotC, but probably before I start the sequel. 13/11/18: it is with great regret that I must postpone the upload of today’s RotC chapter. This is due to three things: not being able to access my account all weekend, having too much Uni work to focus enough time on it, and starting it too late in the week to give myself enough time to finish it. The chapter has been started, and is currently just a little shorter than my first chapters. As I swore I would stop posting chapter less than 5000 words, this is not ideal. I aim to get this chapter out for next Tuesday, although it may come out over the weekend if I complete it in time. There probably won’t be another chapter ready for next week as well, but I have nine hours on trains later this week so who knows? Thank you for your understanding. 20/1/19: That once a week plan didn’t last long did it? I’ve just uploaded my first oneshot, A Forgotten Day, and hopefully this marks my return to writing, at least for a while. Uni life has suddenly got much more hectic! Thanks for sticking with me. 20/7/20: Wow I haven’t updated this in a while! last week I posted the next chapter of RotC, not quite a year after the chapter before it! This past year at University has been extremely hectic, and I’ve been left with next to no free time (even through the lockdown). Hopefully I’ll start to get some more out before October when it starts all over again, but no promises! I’m also realising more and more that I really need to go back and fix the first chapters, not just because of how poorly written they are, but also because they contain some glaring continuity errors, which is one thing I really hate! |
