| ViviTheFolle chapter 25 . 6/29 Yeah right, it's still Ron who shoulders all the blame when everyone lied to him, and of course everyone is still acting as though he's a big baby and shouldn't be having feelings, because how dare he hurt poor precious dainty Hermione... It's always Ron who HAS to become better for her, to be "more" for her, who is insufficient for her, too insecure, too clingy, too whatsit - and when does Hermione change? When does she finally grow up? When does she start returning the favour and becoming better for Ron? Never, I expect, since she's already oh so mature and perfect... This fandom has always treated Ron like he was less than dirt on Hermione's shoes, and sadly it seeps into Romione fics too... there are too many stories where Hermione never fucks up a thing and if she does, who cares, because obviously it's Ron's reaction that's the problem. Because how dare Ron be a normal human being, doesn't he know only Hermione is allowed to have emotions? |
