Author has written 3 stories for Harry Potter. Hi, my name's SapphireDragon92! I'm a 14-year-old Australian girl and have long brown hair and brown eyes. My life ambition is to become an author. I'm a Sagittarius (my birthday is December 11th). I am absolutely and completely obsessed with Harry Potter, The Host, Twilight, and The Inheritance Cycle. Things I hate are slash, incest (though somehow, even though this sounds gross, I find myself making an exception for this in the Mortal Instruments series - I'm currently reading the second book to this), stories with a manipulative Dumbledore and basically any characters who are OOC in a bad way. In Twilight, I ship completely canon pairings and I find myself hating - hating - OOC characters, especially an abusive Charlie or a womanizing Edward. In Harry Potter, I don't like OC's unless they are in MWPP era or the third generation (Harry's kids) unless they are very well written, and are both important to and fit in well in the storyline/plot. Also, I loathe spicy and sour foods. Here are some of my favourite things: Colours: Purple and Teal Animal/'mythical' creature: Dragon (hence that part of my pen name!) Books: In no particular order, excepting the first one - THE HOST, Harry Potter, The Inheritance Cycle, Twilight, and anything by Kim Wilkins, but especially the Gina Champion mysteries. I'll read most fantasy and very rarely read something that isn't at least remotely supernatural/paranormal. Movies: In no particular order - HARRY POTTER (I don't particularly like the book but the sixth movie made me laugh out loud so many times... I looked like a maniac every time I went to see it, which was a lot), Grease, Eragon, Sweeney Todd, The Rocky Horror Picture Show (embarrassing, I know), Pirates of the Carribbean (especially Dead Man's Chest), Sleepy Hollow, Mamma Mia, the X-Men movies, and TWILIGHT! Gemstone: Sapphire (hence that part of my pen name!) Harry Potter character(s): Hermione and Ginny Harry Potter pairings: Harry/Ginny and James/Lily. I ship other pairings, mainly canon ones, but these are my favourites. I also like Neville/Luna (why didn't JKR make this couple official? Why?!). As for Ron/Hermione, I'm fairly neutral. I'll read other Harry/? pairings, but only if they seem plausible - so never slash (I'm not a homophobe AT ALL, but come on? When on Earth was any indication given that Harry could be gay?), and never, say, Harry/Pansy or Harry/Lavender... (both just weird me out). And NEVER Harry/Hermione. I've said before I don't like or read incest and I'll say it again. HHr are FRIENDS and practically SIBLINGS, people! Rrrr! School subjects: English, History, and Italian. Songs: My iPod has over 100 songs on it after owning it for about three days, and I could call them all my faves. I quite often get little obsessions with certain songs, replaying them over and over, but while I still like them, the obsession kind of dies. I'd have to say my fallback song is always Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls, which I can never seem to get tired of through all the obsessions I have. Other bands/singers I like (as in I like more than one song by them) are A Fine Frenzy, The Fray, Lifehouse, Linkin Park, Evanescence, Paramore, Muse, Matchbox 20/Rob Thomas, Kate Miller-Heidke, Kelly Clarkson, Michael Jackson, P!nk, Snow Patrol, U2, 3 Doors Down, and Creed. Hobbies: Reading, writing, singing (badly) and/or listening to music, hanging out with my friends, playing the playstation and the computer. People who have fanfiction accounts that I know are: Doona11 (no stories to date, and she never even USES it... what's the point? Ah well, not everyone I know can be as nerdy as I am. Her relation to me is that she's my best friend). lyncarl (author of "Demons Rules", a Supernatural fanfiction. Her relation to me is that she's my grandma). Here are some of my favourite quotes: There are 3 kinds of people - people who make things happen, people who watch things happen, and people who wonder what the hell happened. Forget love - I'd rather fall in chocolate! My door is always open, so feel free to leave! Experience is the worst teacher - it gives the test before the lesson. Did you know that I'm invisible? But only when no-one's around! What a coincidence! Don't steal - the government hates competition! I love your smile, and I love your eyes... damn I'm good at telling lies! I'm a nobody, and nobody's perfect, so that must mean that I am perfect! Can I get your picture? I collect nature disasters! Go now, or forever hold your pee. I'm an angel... honestly, the horns hold up my halo perfectly! I'm 98 percent beautiful and 2 percent crazy... or is it the other way around? Sometimes I dream of being taken off by a giant squirrel... does that make me a nut? I'm so cool I make ice jealous, and I'm so hot that fire doesn't stand a chance! Don't interrupt me when I'm talking to myself! Learn the rules so that you can break them properly. I am lost. I have gone to look for myself, so if you see me, tell me to wait. If ten minutes pass, tell me to wait longer. I'm never wrong. Once, I thought I was, but I was mistaken. I have a picture of you, which I think is very nice. I put it under my bed to scare away the mice! I'm going to live forever... or die trying! Stop accidents by doing things on purpose. If you do not like my driving, then get the hell off this sidewalk! Guess who I saw today? Everyone I looked at! I used to have an open mind, but my brains kept falling out. I don't discriminate... I hate everyone! As I told you a minute ago, I do not repeat myself! Don't play stupid with me... I'll beat you! If you're happy and you know it, get out of my house! Who tastes the dog food to know that it has a new and improved flavour? There are two kinds of people... those who finish what they start and so on. On the other hand, you have different fingers! I know Kung Fu, Karate, and 30 other dangerous words! If Barbie is so popular, then why do you have to keep on buying her friends? He who laughs last either a) thinks the slowest or b) didn't get it at all. What's the opposite of opposite? Enemies stab you in the front, friends stab you in the back, boys stab you in the heart, but besties are always there to stab those f-ers right back! Friendship is like peeing on yourself: everyone can see it, but only you get the warm feeling that it brings. Well, there you go! That's about all you need to know about me, other than the fact that I plan to update regularly on any stories I write whenever it's humanly possible! I just want to let you guys know that I've decided to write 'The Core of Power' series as one or two installments instead of one for every year. The chapters will be longer, but updates will be less frequent - sorry, guys! Chapter 6 - the next chapter - has a whole lot written. I would have updated sooner but I'm trying to improve and mature my writing - trying being the keyword here - but I eventually decided to just get the chapter up. I've written a fair bit and have most of it outlined, but I've hit a few snags... anyway, I'll have it up as soon as I can. Stories I Have Written: The Core of Power: Soul Connection - A job transfer from one branch to another of Grunnings for Vernon Dursley causes Harry Potter to meet, as well as become friends with, one Ginny Weasley. From the moment they first touch, a connection between mind and soul, more commonly known as a soul bond, is forged between the two. Will encompass at least Harry's first four years, possibly his first five, and perhaps even his whole schooling. Categories: Alternate Universe Genres: Action/Adventure, Friendship, Romance, Fantasy Warnings: Minor Coarse Language, Moderate Violence, Mature Themes, Death, Minor Suggestive Themes Rating: Teen (13+) Pairings: Harry/Ginny, Ron/Hermione, Neville/Luna, canon pairings for the adults (Arthur/Molly, Bill/Fleur, Remus/Tonks, etc.) Hindsight - Lily Evans: Hot-tempered, fiercely opinionated and astonishingly clever, secretly lonely and insecure but with a front of self-confidence, the Head Girl of Hogwarts. James Potter: Unwaveringly loyal, courageous and chivalrous, and just a little pig-headed, the Head Boy of Hogwarts. James has been desperately chasing Lily for years and is convinced that her negative response is from a lack of feelings for him; unbeknownst to him, Lily can't help her attraction to him but denies her feelings and turns him down because she hates his antics. But when the discovery of a mysterious red book unites them against the enemy approaching and opens their eyes to one another's true feelings, they realise that there is something far more important than their petty charades, and that their love is the key to it all. I'm not really sure where this is going, and it isn't my top priority right now, but this cliched idea just wouldn't leave me alone. A Lily-and-the-Marauders-read-the-Harry-Potter-books fic, or perhaps a Lily-and-James-alone-read-the-Harry-Potter-books; I'm not sure. Categories: Romance, Fantasy, Friendship, Action/Adventure Warnings: Minor Coarse Language, Mature Themes, Violence, Death, Suggestive Themes (non-explicit) Rating: Teen (13+) (rating may change for non-sexual reasons, since this will be more full-on than Core of Power, but I don't think it will need an M rating.) Pairings: James/Lily (there was no indication of there being a woman for Sirius in the First War in the books, but I may include something for him with one of the OotP girls eg Marlene McKinnon... I'm not sure. As for Remus, I fully believe that he belongs with Tonks, and she's too young in this time. As for Peter aka Wormtail... no. Just no.). And I'm not sure what I'll do with this... I might change it up, branch it off from canon and give it a happy ending. Or I might make it a tragedy. I don't know. I don't know where it's going... actually, I do. It's going wherever the plot bunnies tell me to take it. And the plot bunnies are keeping mum on this one... they're being oddly uncooperative... grrr... stupid plot bunnies... |
