Hiiii. *waves like a lunatic* I'm Rose!

Kuroko no Basuke is my bread and butter, but I do read a little from a couple other fandoms on the side.

I also write! In case you came here to know why my updates are slow, it's because ideas come to me real quick. Words on computer don't. XD

But I will update, unless I say I won't.

I mean that.

I tend to write a few stories at a time, and read much much more than I write. If only I could read Indonesian, apparently there’s a ton of Indonesian Knb fics. As of right now it stands at about 7.7K. :O

I'm not a fan of any specific pairing, but I'm willing to read near anything! Send me suggestions, I love them.

I don't have any set times, but I generally will respond to PMs within a day max. It bothers me when my inbox has unread notifications...

I've decided to start updating these so you know I'm still here. I'M ALIIIIIVE!! But still very unfinished with writing. XD I’ve decided instead that I’ll finish everything, so when I finally post a story we can celebrate together! :)

This is your regular sporadic update to tell you I’m very much alive. :)

After thinking about it, I wonder if I should just post my progress. I haven’t made much (which makes me feel really bad, I could’ve finished Penguinmania in all this time!), but I can definitely make more on the go. That’s how it used to be! Even if it turns out weird since it’s been so long, I can always edit it...

Besides, I met you guys by writing.

Sigh. X)

... Maybe I should, huh. I’ll think about it.

(Just imagine if I do it! I’d be updating Penguinmania and That Cover Picture Is A Hint once again. We can live to see the Miracles’ eggs hatch!)

Hello again! I’ve decided I’m not posting anything I haven’t completed. But if I complete anything, I’ll post it, instead of waiting for everything to be completed.

Besides an improved oneshot (I’ve posted it already), I think I’ll update Penguinmania at least. Somehow someone actually found it yesterday and liked it and I mean, wow. Wow. X) Thank you!

(Note, I have not completed Penguinmania offline. XD Wish me luck.)

P.S. These updates are starting to take up space, so I’ll start taking off some!

You know, it might be because of the 10th anniversary thing but... that number next to "Kuroko no Basuke" ticked up to "25.3". I didn't think I'd see that go up again; it's been so long. Thank you to all of you old (new, even) people who're coming back again, and reading and writing again, and...

... and well. I barely have the words for this. I should be doing homework, but I'm falling in love with this community all over again.

I actually have a oneshot I want to publish! It was originally part of a full story, and I'm not sure as to whether I want to write the full story (but it was originally written as part of the story, so I'll provide context in the author's note.). But my dilemma here is I don't know whether the rating for the story should be T or M. (I've looked at the guidelines already.) Do I just post it with the safer rating or should I ask someone?

P.S. I might as well keep all these updates. I saw someone who kept their updates over ten years and it was... sweet. X)

They did it in reverse order, though. I might reverse the order of these two, to make reading easier.

I’ve rearranged it so this is easier to read! I’ll keep the order rather than reversing, it sounds easier after all these updates. XD Hopefully just writing the dates like this is fine.

(This update isn’t about stories at all!)

Did I ever tell you about my Knb gen theory? I’ve only recently solidified it, but my email history indicates I first thought about this sometime in November 2019. Hopefully it’s accurate. It’s accurate to my view of the fandom, at least.

1st gen: pre-2015, manga or the anime up to end of second season, small but intensely devoted. A large number left in 2015, and then an even larger number in 2017. Some do remain.

2nd gen: 2015-2017 joiners, third season to Last Game, came when the anime was most popular. The third season was when Akashi was introduced, so they’re responsible for Akashi’s catapult to stardom, anime and otherwise. (He was even #1 on the character polls once!)

Left fairly/very quickly, depending on when they joined, but there are more of them than the 1st gens, as a result of there being much, much more of them in the first place. 30% of 500 is 150, but 10% of 20,000 is still 2,000. (Not accurate estimates of the gens, these are just to demonstrate.)

I’m technically a first gen! But I came just before the second gen, so I’m much more second gen than first. You can see it in my Ah, Children summary: the OC-universe-travel story was really common around mid-2015, early second gen era, but has dropped so much out of Knb writing since then that it’s really new now. I don’t see it anymore, or if I’m wrong at least I’m not looking in the right places.

I just reread this; all this writing must look incredibly obscure to people. XD

3rd gen: started with Knb’s 10th anniversary in 2019 and a rare canon crossover, but really came with the coronavirus quarantines. Reminds me of the 1st gen, some of whom have even come back. And a lot of 3rd gens have picked up retired 1st gen work (e.g. Knb incorrect quotes!). Ongoing.

Of course, it makes sense that a lot of people left in 2017. Even Fujimaki has said he’s done everything he’s ever wanted to do with Knb! We’re just around because we’re still very much in love with these people, the characters we’ve met and the people we’ve met, and we still have entire universes bouncing around in our minds, waiting to be told.
