![]() Author has written 2 stories for Twilight. I am a 40 year old mother of four with an addiction to all things Twilight… Well, actually, my true obsession is Edward-but shhh. Don’t tell my husband. My Twilight obsession began in November 2008 when I was 4 months pregnant with my 4th child. I was tired and overwhelmed and still trying to deal with the oops that was growing in my belly. While my husband and 3 boys were supportive of my "condition", I was completely surrounded by too much testosterone. And let’s face it…I was exhausted from taking care of the men in my life. How in the world was I going to handle another baby??? Enter my good friend Melanie. She literally begged me and my fat swollen pregnant self to see some movie called Twilight. I had never heard of it. I didn’t want to see it. A hormonal pregnant woman at a teenage vampire movie?? I don’t think so. She did not give up and said that I needed a little “girl time” away from the testosterone…so I finally gave in and went to the movie. As soon as the movie was over, we drove on over to the 24-hour Wal-Mart and bought the first book. I read the entire series three times over the next two months. I took the books with me everywhere… When I finally had the baby, I was surprised she didn’t come out a vampire because I literally ate, breathed, and slept with Twilight on the brain. After Sophie was born (no I didn’t name her Renesemee), I was totally wiped out. And I wanted, no I needed, an Edward and Bella Fix. I read Midnight Sun on-line and was left wanting more. I was lurking at one of the Boards at IMDB when I came across a reference to a story called Wide Awake. What can I say…it BLEW ME AWAY! And caused a new addiction… Fan Fiction. Now I get my E&B fix every day on my BlackBerry. I love love love to read the Fan Fiction stories. There are so many talented writers out there. And I am truly thankful that they take the time to write for us. My avatar is a picture of my anklet tattoo (40th birthday present). The heart has mine and my husband’s initials and there are four colored charms that represent my children’s birthstones. I got the tattoo after reading CW&IA. I loved the symbolism behind their tattoos… so I decided to get one to symbolize my first 40 years. Love It! Nuff said about me. I’ve got to go read.
