BellaTesoro chapter 12 . 5/1/2019 This was a lovely story. I enjoyed Edward's journey into adulthood and finding himself. It wasn't always pleasant, his family issues, his lack of direction and finding emotional balance but he got there with the help of his Bella. I wonder if he made peace with him mother. No mention of her during his father's funeral or after. I get she was a broken woman but she, like his father were once great parents so it would seem that she's just dealing with emotional baggage too and he ought to have learned from not making peace with his dad before it was too late that the same goes for his broken mother. Anyway, just a thought I had left. Thanks for keeping your story here, it is appreciated. |
BellaTesoro chapter 11 . 4/30/2019 So glad that Jane didn't get anything in the Will. Of course Ed Sr would leave everything to his son in his passing. No matter what Edward thought of his dad, he loved him, that photo of the two of them shows just how much. Sad really, what was left of their family and then he died pretty much not having shared his true love for him and Edward his for his dad. |
BellaTesoro chapter 10 . 4/30/2019 It was so nice seeing these two communicate and be honest about their feelings. Edward really was being a baby and good thing Bella balances that out for him. And they both love each other, yay. |
BellaTesoro chapter 9 . 4/30/2019 I'm curious why Edward decides to take on managing the bookstore instead of going back to school and finishing up there as well as continuing working at the bookstore. Will managing someone else's dream business be enough for him? I guess so. After Edward has to deal with his father's heart issues and near death on his own and realizing his mother lacks the strength and good character to at least come to the hospital to support her son if she can't see past their own problems. It's no wonder Edward calls the only person who he feels he can depend on, Bella. It's so good of her to rush right over like she did. Says much about her good character. You'd think Edward would call his best friend for support too. |
BellaTesoro chapter 8 . 4/30/2019 Although I feel badly for Edward when he went to deliver the gift Charlie left at the bookstore and saw, that Bella was having a grand old time with family and friends and he felt like he was 'less than'...but really, everything Jasper said to him about his behavior is true. And Edward needs to man up and start to deal like an adult and stop blaming his parents for his choices. |
BellaTesoro chapter 7 . 4/30/2019 I'm glad Edward decided on the book of poetry, good choice. I think he's feeling a little more than friendship with her and I like that he's gradually letting himself explore 'more' with Bella. Now to Edward's father's visit. First, no matter that Edward doesn't see eye to eye with his dad, he should have been a little more respectful of his father's concerns about Edward's choices or lack of them right now. Other than having grand dreams for his son to follow in his footsteps, he didn't do anything 'bad' to Edward so it would seem that Edward could have dealt with him a little more maturely. Young people don't always want to think their parents want their best interests unless they agree with them, it's hard. So yeah, although Edward has every right to have mixed feelings about his parents marriage and that he feels abandoned somehow by them, they have been trying to reach out to their son and their son needs to be a little more accepting of them too. j/s |
BellaTesoro chapter 6 . 4/30/2019 I could tell Edward was struggling with going out and then once out sitting with the two women and struggling with if he could/should go with the flirting and in the end Bella's presence ends that struggle when he realizes he feels 'more' for her and flirting and moving on with another women while with Bella just doesn't feel right. I give him credit. And he redeems himself when he's there for Bella when she runs to him about her school work being plagiarized. |
BellaTesoro chapter 5 . 4/30/2019 I see why Edward would have gotten uncomfortable with Bella and his 'out and about getting coffee' after hearing Bella and Angela talk...well, maybe I don't see why he got that uncomfortable. I mean, Bella came to the Bookstore, clearly she came not only to special order a book but to see Edward and he seemed to like that, until, he felt their relationship was starting to be 'defined' or questioned...tsk tsk Edward. I think he really has issues to deal with and hopefully Bella will be patient with him while he does. |
BellaTesoro chapter 2 . 4/30/2019 I see that Edward is rebelling from his father's expectations and is still trying to find his way in a life's purpose. Carlisle certainly sounds like a decent man to be working for and with, maybe some of his peaceful aura will help Edward find his way. I appreciate that Edward isn't so full of himself that he's sure that he could get a second try with Bella or that he even wants one. Got to love his honesty and he does seem somewhat respectful of her feelings too, or possible lack there of... |
BellaTesoro chapter 1 . 4/30/2019 It surprises me that I haven't read this story yet, but here I am and happy to be here. I can live through these characters journey to feel what it would be like to have a...seemingly one night stand. It's clear that Edward was out with his buddy looking to score and then falling for the pretty brunette bartender. Bella is awesome with her independence and honesty. She seems to be attracted to this smooth talker yet knows the deal and that kiss she allowed happen sealed the deal. I wonder if Edward is still in school too or working at the bookstore is his career by choice. In any event love this first chapter, the characters are interesting and I want to see how it all works out. |
