The same goes for "friend requests" if you want us to be friends, the best way to do so is express interest in one of my works. Yes that sounds super egotistical, but it does one major thing. It creates a common ground between our interests that we can connect and talk about. My interests in fandoms are often super specific/niche so if we like the same the fandom, it's very possible you won't like what I like. And that's totally fine, everyone is entitled to their own interests, but it might not be enough of a connection between us for possible friendship. So reading one of my stories and becoming invested in it really is the best way to determine whether or not there's a chance we could have a friendship.

I promise this method works, I've made many friends this way by leaving thoughtful reviews and then striking up conversation if the author replies. Also offering gifts of fan art or small ficlets if you like the story enough help as well. Bribery will get you everywhere with fic writers, I guarantee it.

Also just so everyone is aware if you choose to message me/start conversation/etc, I am an adult. I am 25 at the time of this update (April 25 2019) and am only going to keep getting older as time passes lol.
