You ever get back into an old fandom and remember reading certain fics that made you so happy back in the day and that just really stuck in your mind, and so you go searching for them again for a reread? That’s me rn. Honestly I wasted quite a bit of time looking for this story in the wrong places, since it’s been so long since I read it I couldn’t remember precisely. I’m looking forward to going through this again! This fic feels as nostalgic as the show itself to me. Thank you for posting this and keeping it up to allow me to have my fond reminiscing! I don’t doubt that I’ll be back again someday, even if it’s another couple years.

You are an amazing writer and I can't wait to finish this. I am so so sorry for not stopping to review any of the previous chapters I just haven''t been able to stop reading! This is soooo good. I actually feel like I am obsessed with this story! I love the song safe and sound and I wanted to imagine the scene of Dakota singing as much as possible in a sort of asian inspired style so I searched youtube and found this - "Safe & Sound" Bei Bei Jett Kwong Kelly - and imagined that as Dakota and Jee coming in. I don't know if the Guzheng instrument they are playing is even remotely like the Pipa but I think it is one of the only ones with vocals and a Japanese or Chinese instrument. Anyway, check it out if you feel like it! :) I will try to post more reviews as I read along but I also don't want to spam your inbox... however - this story needs way more attention! P.S I usually try to leave a more constructive and thought out review but I am just giddy with this fic and have lost all sense of my normal.

I have to say, just before starting this fic I read “Reluctant Hero”, and I love how totally different your versions of the Pirates are! Your additions to the canon world are fantastic and I’m really enjoying it!

I don't know what usually goes in reviews but this story was awesome! I love how you were able to create such genuine interactions between Dakota and all of the other characters. I can easily picture her being in the actual show because of how well you wrote all of the characters interactions. You found/created a great spot for Dakota to exist as a new character in this plot. Before I saw that you had sequels to this story, I was super bummed to see how long it had been since you updated Looking forward to reading the next two!
