News

3 Apr 20: Another brief update. You'd think with all of the mandatory no-leave stuff that I'd be working on fic more, but admittedly I have barely touched any of it. I've got to prioritize my thesis for the time being, but rest assured that Resonance and SNBRN will not be abandoned. Thank you for your patience, and wish me luck in the last month of my masters program! I'm wishing you all luck too in these uncertain times.

16 Jan 20: Just a brief update here. Work on SNBRN and Resonance is continuing slowly but steadily as usual. Also, I've entered yet another fandom: Stardew Valley. This game is addictive!

26 Aug 19: I've published the first chapter of my Homestuck fanfic, SNBRN. This one has been a couple of years in the making (as you can tell by my note from 21 Dec 17), although there has been a lot more charting than there has writing! Hopefully if you're a Homestuck fan, you can get interested in my take on how a rather convoluted session can develop.

28 Jan 19: Hey everyone, can't believe it's been over a year since I updated you all here. As you can probably tell, work on Resonance is still going strongly. We've only posted about half of the chapters I've currently written, and altogether that's probably about a fourth of the total story written. Writing is a lot of work! I've also been working on an original project that is loosely inspired by series like Paper Mario and Fire Emblem, although that clearly could never go here on FF. It's mostly been just art with lore and not an actual story, but if it ever does become one, I'll definitely give you all more information.

21 Dec 17: We interrupt this Zero Escape fan to bring you the following news... SOMEONE may be back in the Homestuck fandom... and writing yet another big fanfic project... Whoops.

2 Feb 17: Hello everyone! I've just published the first chapter of my first actual Zero Escape fanfiction, based predominantly in the spirit of 999. Please check out Resonance if you're a fan of the series! This will be a large story project, much like Companions, but Zero Escape has always had a more lasting and powerful place in my heart than Fire Emblem, so it will definitely take precedence. Hope you enjoy it!

4 Sep 16: It's kind of funny to think that Breaking Down is the first story I've completed in roughly five years, with the one before it being Out of Place. Alas, it's kind of cathartic to finish another multi-chapter work, especially one I've put so much heart in. If you like Final Destination and you just came to me for OoP, do consider checking out BD as well.

1 Sep 16: Does anyone else who's been here since adolescence ever read their old fics and cringe? Like I want to delete some of my older, abandoned ones because I am embarrassed about them, but honestly a lot of them have so many memories attached that I don't want to let go of. Like Our Story is ridiculous and I'm blushing just thinking about anyone I know reading it now, but I love how excited all of the forumites got with it, and all our inside jokes... If you're a forumite reading this at any time, please PM me and let me know how life is because I miss you.

27 Aug 16: I'm getting back into finishing up my renovation of Out of Place, so be on the look out for the last couple of chapters. Also, I finished Zero Time Dilemma within five days of getting it, and I am emotions about it. Hopefully I can get back into Companions soon as well, but I'm just not quite sure how to get it where it's going to go in the long run. Wish me luck!

1 Oct 15: Happy Halloween everyone. To celebrate this amazing spooky month, I've added the character profiles for Breaking Down to the bonus content section. Hope you've enjoyed act one; look out for the first chapter of act two soon!

12 Sep 15: Today is one of the Companions' birthdays. Happy birthday Bjorn! To commemorate this, I drew him, which is a big deal, considering I haven't drawn a Companions character in over a year. Alas, there is no new chapter today. Enjoy instead a new story in the Final Destination fandom! Additionally I've decided to revamp Out of Place, so look forward to chapters being updated and made more readable! Chapter one is up now, and chapter two is in the works.

17 Jul 15: I've fallen deep into a new fandom, Steven Universe. Did you all know that I am literally Sapphire.

4 Apr 15: So I've been working on the next chapter of Companions, and I decided now is as good a time as any to post two of the documents I'll be working on as extra material for your enjoyment. Currently, there are two: a chart of everyone's current stats and a list of support-compatible pairs with the paralogues that each of their supports come in. Enjoy!

Active Stories

These are stories that I am either working on or at least giving active thought to their progress in some way.

14. Nonary Game: Resonance - A college student named Robin awakens in a mysterious classroom, having been kidnapped for participation in the Nonary Game. He joins with eight other participants, and together they solve puzzles, piece together a mystery involving lives beyond their own, and, perhaps most importantly, seek a way out. Chapters: 15. 9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors.

15. SNBRN - Kieran and four of his fraternity brothers decide to play the beta of a new sandbox game. When they learn that it will destroy the Earth, though, their plans get messed up, and Kieran ends up with a server and a client he's never met. They will have to figure out how to heal the worlds they've ended up on, or else they will surely perish. Chapters: 4. Homestuck.

Stories on Hiatus

Most of these hiatuses are indefinite, so expect nothing.

1. Who Goes On? - Twelve Mushroom Kingdom citizens enter into a ridiculous game show to try winning one million dollars. Chapters: 3. Mario.

2. The Room: Spongebob Edition - Thirteen Bikini Bottom citizens are tasked with remaining in a large room together. Who will leave and lose? Who will stay and win a million sand dollars in... The Room? Chapters: 6. Spongebob Squarepants.

4. Ask the Islanders Whatever You Want! - The fated 11 who crashed en route to Palau now offer to answer your questions in the most amusing way possible. Chapters: 5. Flight 29 Down.

5. The Amazing Race: Super Mario Super Edition - Twelve teams of two Mushroomers and FanFiction Authors rush for the finish to get one million coins while visiting the Kingdom's most amazing lands. Legs: 5. Mario.

9. Our Story - An epic of novel proportions encompassing the strange adventures of a group of forum friends through the intricacies of the Marioverse. Chapters: 2. Mario.

11. Final Nine - An alternate universe where the nine players in the Nonary Game from 999 are the last living tributes in the Hunger Games. Chapters: 1. Hunger Games/9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors.

12. Companions - Waking up in a feudal land is a major bummer, especially when you aren't Robin, or if you have to give up part of your identity to survive. Is it worth changing to fit in and fight? Chapters: 17. Fire Emblem (Awakening).

Completed Stories

Due to how difficult it is to take an idea to completion, most of these happen to be one-shots. Alas, all are finished products, almost certainly never to be touched again. They're ordered by completion instead of numerically.

3. The Adventure of a Lifetime - A freakish bus ride transfers four close friends into the Mushroom Kingdom. With the help of the Mario brothers and the princess, the four must find a way to return home. Chapters: 12. Mario.

7. Storm - A loud thunderstorm right outside Taylor's house frightens her. It reminds her of the loud thunderstorm within her. Chapters: 1. Flight 29 Down.

8. The New Employee - A Secret Santa fic for my good friend Kyogreperson. The crew at Castle Bleck are surprised with a powerful new ally. Chapters: 1. Mario.

10. Azalea's Celebrity Crush - An entry for justmegaman's Valentine's Day contest. Azalea's crush is a reality TV star from the real world, but she is determined to be with him. Chapters: 1. Mario.

13. Breaking Down - Two college students simultaneously have visions of a building on campus collapsing, and thus urge their friends to exit. With no one else to help but each other, the two struggle to figure out why their friends are starting to die. Chapters: 16. Final Destination.

6. Out of Place - Matt urges 10 acquaintances from a subway after a gruesome premonition, but their deaths have only been postponed. Chapters: 11. Final Destination.
