Firstly, my deepest apologies for the 1+year hiatus. Real life hit, and it hit hard. I'm slowly settling back into my usual swing of things with writing, editing, emailing, posting, and whatnot; but it's a slow start.

I have, however, started a LiveJournal! Finally, haha!

You can find me over at LJ here, under the penname "douce_etienette" (douce is French for sweet, and Etienette is the French form of my name, Stephanie). I've also set up a new Twitter, which can be found here, under the name CestEtienette (it's Etienette). Neither have much uploaded on them, but I'll gradually move everything over to LJ. I'll still post here, on , but my main focus will be on LJ.

Happy New Year! I'll have things updated/uploaded by mid-January, hopefully- but I make no promises!

About the Author

I'm a recent high school graduate who has far too much free time on her hands. I've had an unhealthy obsession with Harry Potter since my third grade teacher starting reading Sorcers' Stone to us back in 1999. Which was also the year I started playing the clarinet, which is my main passion. When I was in school I spent my free time at various rehearsals (concert band, marching band, choir, orchestra, and pit orchestra)- including weekends. Now, I still spend my Tuesday's and Thursday's in rehearsals (and Saturday's and Monday's in the fall), but I can focus on writing again. I haven't been able to focus on a full-length fic since before I started Change of An Icy Heart. I'm a sucker for Severus and Harry fics (especially mentor, father/son, little!Harry, de-aging fics, Slytherin!Harry, Abused!Harry, etc.), but I also like a few others- especially time travels and pre-Hogwarts.

I'm also a beta. Just so everybody is aware, betaing is very low on my list of priorities. My music comes first- which is rehearsals and at least an hour or two of practicing a day- which is then followed by my own writing. Thirdly is being a very avid fic reader, and lastly is as a beta. I have betaed in the past, but depending on when you contact me and how fast you want it back, I may not be able to do it.
