It is a shame that the promised sequel hasn't been posted. There are issues for the story - like his Potter heritage and retaining it. I would think the goblins would keep secrets for a fee. As I said earlier in another review - Dobby would be quite helpful in retrieving his school things from wherever they were taken. Eventually he will have to be told the whole truth, but that can wait until he is much older. Until then, small snippets should suffice. The story of what is happening with his friends would be good. You intimated that even THEY didn't see him as JUST Harry. But how much of that was what Harry saw, and how much was real. I think Neville gets cut out a lot. He was never demanding of Harry's attention.
It would be nice to see more of this, just to see where they live, how Harry grows up, and how things are in the Wizarding world.

What about their money in Gringotts? Sev might have an account in another name, but Harry and Minerva don't. I guess the Potters didn't have a family account to worry about?

What about their belongings? Couldn't Harry call Dobby and employ him? Dobby would have to remain hidden from the muggles in the neighborhood, but it could be done. Then, he could retrieve Harry's trunk. Mementos - map, family pictures, invisibility cloak - his artwork and supplies. manerva's mementos, and Sev's. All those things are still in the castle!

I love this wonderful story so far and I hope that you are inspired to come back to this again soon-ish.

This is a bittersweet story. I hope the three bruised and battered people are able to truly become a real family. It seems a lot of negative ideas from the Dursleys must have been pretty deeply ingrained in Harry's subconscious, even at the tender age of five. I hope Severus and Minerva are able to drive them away before long. The fact that Harry was willing to take such a drastic step shows how deeply the abuse and manipulations he has suffered over the years have damaged him. The fact that he chose this option rather than suicide, however, is a positive sign, as it tells us he truly believes a happy life is possible. Fortunately, his actions have provided a second chance at happiness for all three of them - with parents for Harry and a child (maybe even more) for Severus and Minerva. We can only hope they grab it.

It's too bad they all didn't check into Harry's properties before they began to take the steps they all took. They might have been able to move to Australia, France, Italy, or the US, far away from the shadows of Dumbledore and Hogwarts. I suppose it may take Dumbledore's death to allow them to truly relax. I hope they survive and thrive.

This is an AWESOME story, and you are a TERRIFIC writer! Your characters seem so REAL and their interactions make them seem even more so! And you definitely have a gift for writing descriptions; there were many times that it seemed as if I was just watching a movie in my mind's eye rather than reading a story online. I am so impressed with the amount of imagery you put in this story and how well you were able to make everything seem so vivid and even to convey feelings! Interesting idea, but I can't stand the idea of that potion. It's basically suicide, erasing everything that makes you, you, and I find it a bit disturbing that they just go along with it like it's nothing...
