Nice story am quite enjoying it.

A quick breakdown of schooling in the UK:- Kindergarten for 4 to 5 years, Infant / Junior School for 5 to 11 years then High / Grammar school or Socondary Modern school for 11 to 18 year olds. The difference between High/ Grammar and Secondary Modern is defined by educational achievement at age 11.

As I left school over 30 years ago this could have changed yet again. Hope this helps when you're writing another story.

I hope that if you continue this, you do not miraculously fix Harry or give him his hearing back. You have shown a lot of good things that come from being deaf but also some things that don't make sense. The Deaf community is very proud of who and what they are and how far they've come. I understand a child's longing to be like everyone else but I hope he finds a sense of self within his Deafhood instead of trying to work around it as if it were not a part of his identity.

No, i think it is not absolutely necessary to continue the story.
It is about Deaf-Harry arriving and settling at Hogwarts, and the others getting used to him. So this is an acceptable end.
