![]() Author has written 5 stories for Pokémon, How to Train Your Dragon, and Dragon Prince. It's a stupid name, I know. But I'm hilariously bad at coming up with usernames and this is the best I could do. I could probably change it, but... meh. Hi, everyone. Thanks for visiting my profile. I'm a creative writer at heart. I've written both fanfiction and original works, though I've never actually been able to finish any of the latter. These days, I mostly focus on fanfiction as that comes easier to me and it conveniently allows me to ignore needing my own original characters and all the things that come with that. Obviously, I do not own any of the material that I base my writing on. The rights to the franchises I write about belong to the respective companies that own them and any copyright infringement is unintentional. A few more things about me: Reading and Writing: I love fictional works. Duh. That's why I'm here. My preferred genres tend to be adventure and fantasy, with some sci-fi thrown in and, typically, a small bit of romance. When I read any fanfiction, I generally prefer ones with romance, because of the handful of pairings out there that I particularly love and enjoy reading other people's takes on those pairings. My favorite pairing ever is Hiccup/Astrid from How to Train Your Dragon. I don't really have a singular reason as to why. Sports: I'm a massive sports fan, particularly of football (the American kind) and baseball. Music: I play the acoustic and electric guitars. I won't be releasing any albums or anything of the sort anytime soon, but my guitars are a hobby that I just can't give up. My favorite genre of music is hard rock and some forms of metal. My favorite bands include Guns N' Roses, Motley Crüe, Metallica, Aerosmith, Def Leppard, Ozzy Osbourne (both solo and his Black Sabbath days), Three Days Grace, Ratt, Cinderella, Poison, and Van Halen. Favorite Movies and TV Shows How to Train Your Dragon 1, 2, & 3 I absolutely love this franchise. The themes, characters, story, art, and more all just hold a really special place in my heart. My main fanfiction focus for the foreseeable future. The Marvel Cinematic Universe I love most of these movies. They're fun, humorous, and what Marvel has accomplished with all of them is pretty remarkable. My favorites are the Avengers movies, the Iron Man trilogy, and the 2nd and 3rd Captain America movies (The Winter Soldier and Civil War). Gladiator Such an awesome flick. Russell Crowe and Joaquin Phoenix offer all-time performances here. Gravity Falls I've never been so pleasantly surprised by a TV show before. There's a stunning depth to the overarching story and the characters, and the humor is hysterical, with just enough for adults to enjoy while still being a kids show. Seriously, if you haven't watched Gravity Falls, you guys are really missing out. BoJack Horseman I thought it was going to be dumb when I saw all of the animals. Boy was I wrong. I'd recommend this show to anyone, period. New Girl A show I started recently and just could not put down. It's painful at first, but by the middle of the first season I was hooked and on for the long haul. Schmidt is one of the funniest characters in TV history, and that's not up for debate. A hysterical show that is worth a watch for anyone. The Dragon Prince A new addition here. This show reminds me of Avatar: The Last Airbender, which makes sense since it's created by one of the head writers, and I wasn't expecting to love it as much as I did. For work based on The Dragon Prince, you can find me on AO3 at The5thCat. The fandom seems to favor that site, so I've been using it a lot more recently than I ever did in the past and figured it was time I made an account. I have 2 stories there that are related. Others include: The Empire Strikes Back, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Blind Side, Top Gun, Madagascar, Avatar: The Last Airbender Favorite Books: Fiction: I Am Number Four series, Scythe series, Unwind, Percy Jackson & the Olympians series Nonfiction: The Killing Series, Into The Wild, Under The Banner of Heaven Favorite Video Games: The Last of Us This game is an absolute masterpiece, can't say enough about it. Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky One of my favorite games ever, and one that I can constantly replay. The gameplay surprisingly never gets old, the music is quietly in a league of its own (seriously, listen to the soundtrack!), and the overarching story holds a special place in my heart. Others include: Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Assassin's Creed III, God of War (2018) My Stories Bound: An alternate version of HTTYD1 in which, around a year prior to the events of the movie, Hiccup and Astrid are engaged via a contract, as was common at the time. The implications of this contract change the nature of their relationship, and the story explores how the events of the original movie might've changed as a result of our heroes being closer than they ever were before in canon. Rated T. This story is complete. Cabin Fever: A Boundverse one-shot set post-Snoggletog, post-GotNF (which I would consider compliant with the Bound timeline. There's nothing in that short that really contradicts anything of mine). A small scene about one of Berk's infamous blizzards and a little personal moment between Hiccup and Astrid when he does her a favor. Rated K-plus. This story is complete. Ghosts: The sequel to Bound. Takes place five years after the first book, much like HTTYD2. Will involve significantly more characters from both the books and the TV series. This story is meant to be a much more extreme take on the events of the second movie. Hiccup will be tested unlike ever before as his idealisms clash with the harsh reality of the world and the enemies that his ideas make him. Rated M for violence and adult themes. This story is in-progress. The Journey Continues: My first story and a real massive one at that, exploring an alternative end to the Diamond & Pearl TV canon that creates a new chapter in Ash and Dawn's relationship. The story was primarily inspired by the fic Another Road and created during my reintroduction to Pokémon a few years ago. There are several similarities between The Journey Continues and Another Road, but the story has a significantly different overarching plot and will end differently. Rated T for sporadic use of adult language, and contains dark themes in the late-middle arc of the story. The villains of this story are not kind people. This story is complete. |
