Both sports manga/anime features players that have some kind of supernatural abilities and moves. -- Sena's Devil Bat Ghost, Akashi's Emperor's Eye, Kise's Perfect Copy, Kuroko's Cyclone Pass, Shin's Spear Tackle, Takami and Sakuraba's Everest Pass etc. 2.) Both Seirin and Deimon Devil Bats have up to 2nd Year players only. -- Seirin is a new school who just started a year ago, meanwhile Deimon has a policy of graduating students not participating in extra-curricular activities. 3.) Both Seirin and Deimon's basketball and football clubs were created a year before the protagonists enters high school. -- In KnB, Kiyoshi, Hyuuga, Riko and the others created the basketball club. In E21, Hiruma, Kurita, and Musashi created the football club. 4.) Kuroko and Sena both look weak at first, but have special abilities. -- Kuroko Tetsuya has weak-presence and uses it in making passes, however, Kobayakawa Sena has these light-speed legs. 5.) Both teams specializes in offense. -- Seirin's run-and-gun form and has also high-accuracy shooters/dunkers such as Kagami, Kiyoshi and Hyuuga. And Deimon's complete and strong offense players such as runningback (Sena), quarterback (Hiruma), place kicker (Musashi), wide receiver (Monta), and tight end (Taki Natsuhiko). 6.) Both teams have demonic leaders. -- Aida Riko and Hiruma Yoichi; although Hiruma himself is truly a demon already. YA-HA! 7.) Both teams start off as losers, but become champions in the very next championship. -- In Winter Cup (KnB) and Christmas Bowl (E21). 8.) Both teams have the least number of players among the whole participating teams. -- This applies in both in overall and subsitutes/bench. 9.) Both Seirin and Deimon each have important senpais who participated only later in the manga/anime. -- Kiyoshi Teppei of Seirin had an injury, Gen "Musashi" Takekura of Deimon had family and business matters. Not only that, their captains are real friends with these guys, too. 10.) Considered supreme teams are Teiko Junior High and Teikoku Alexanders -- Plus, the members are mostly eye candy. Yep. (Including Momoi Satsuki and Koizumi Karin) 11.) Seirin's Koganei (cat) and Deimon's Monta (monkey) have specialized in other sports before they joined their teams. -- Koganei specialized in table tennis, and other extras, while Monta used to love baseball. 12.) Both Seirin and Deimon have a dog (mascot?). -- There is the cute and adorable Nigou of Seirin, then there's cunning and evil Cerberus of Deimon. 13.) Both manga/anime has "lack of presence jokes". -- Seirin's Kuroko Tetsuya and Deimon's Ishimaru Tetsuo. Both even have "Tetsu" on their first names. 14.) Both manga/anime has a cute guy with silky hair with the same name. -- Seirin's Izuki Shun and Kyoshin Poseidons' Kakei Shun. 15.) Both manga/anime have the same name for the MC's key rivals. -- Rakuzan and GoM's Akashi Seijuro and Ojo White Knights' Shin Seijuro 16.) Both have good-looking blonde male players who are also models. -- Kaijou and GoM's Kise Ryouta and Ojo White Knights' Sakuraba Haruto. 17.) Both manga/anime have resident bad-boy players (as in womanizer) with weird hairdos. -- Fukuda Sogo's and ex-GoM Haizaki Shogo and Shinryuuji Nagas' Kongo Agon. Both have connections (past) with protagonists like Kuroko and the GoMs, and with Hiruma, Musashi and Kurita in Deimon. Both appears in the manga trying to pick up girls (in KnB it's Alexandra Garcia, while in E21, it's Anezaki Mamori), and then losing their tempers by being rejected and interrupted (by Himuro Tatsuya and Kobayakawa Sena). 18.) Both anime/manga have incredibly strong gluttons. -- Yosen and GoM's Murasakibara Atsushi and Deimon's Kurita Ryokan. (See also: Seirin's Kagami Taiga, and Rakuzan and Uncrowned Generals' Eikichi Nebuya) 19.) Protagonists have their 'Bro Rivals'. -- Kagami Taiga with Himuro Tatsuya, then Sena with Kaitani Riku. Those two both have this 'I have to win', 'You better give me all you've got' thing going on during their matches. The protagonists also kept on worrying about their friendship with the other. 20.) In Eyeshield 21, the manga ended with the protagonist's team members going to different schools to see who rises to the top meanwhile in Kurobas, it started with the protagonist's team members going to different schools to see who rises at the top. -- Although in E21 it's more of a friendly competition, meanwhile in KnB, it's pure rivalry. 21.) In both mangas, after the protagonist's team finishes their goals (Winning in Winter Cup and Christmas Bowl), the protagonists embark on an all-star team-up with other strong school's aces against America (the Overpowered Bastards with Shitty Attitudes Team). -- In KnB's Extra Game, GoM plus Kagami teams up as Vorpal Swords against Jabberwocky. In E21's World Cup arc, Deimon's key players plus Many other team's key players team up as Team Japan against Team America (aka the Pentagram). # Should I say both have very good soundtracks, too?
