Yes, it is true that if Neal Caffrey had only chosen the wine he'd brought for dinner sooner, or maybe changed his clothes into something a bit more 'dinner worthy', or even went to the bathroom before he left, he would have hailed a different cab. Perhaps the cab driver wouldn't have gotten lost, and perhaps Neal wouldn't have been mugged. (References to violence, injuries)

Neal sinks to the ground slowly. When Peter thinks back to this, he'll remember how long it took for Neal to hit the ground, how many seconds it took for Peter to cross the yard to his friend, how confused Neal looked as he stumbled. But for now, all he can do is live it.

Neal could handle Prison. In Prison, Neal knew what to do. How to cope. In Prison no one asked him out to lunch or joked around with him. Now he's out, but he's still a prisoner and he doesn't know what to do when Peter doesn't treat him like one.

Peter finds Neal in a very dire situation - he's about to die. But then when Neal wakes up, he calls Peter "Master" - as though he's Peter's slave. Can Peter try to bring him back to his former life and reality? He's certainly going to try. Rated M for sexual situations NOW COMPLETE! :)

Peter suffers a heart attack over dinner, and it's up to Neal and El to keep him calm and lucid while they wait for help to arrive. The wait brings back memories for Neal whose uncle suffered a heart attack and reminds Elizabeth how much she loves her husband.
