Nice and heartwarming ending to a good story. The question remains nonetheless: why didn't they get Neal to see a therapist sooner?

I can understand and feel the tension you build up in your story and it's sure coming to a breahtaking end but I must point out that Neal shouldn't be able to hold a gun easily and aim properly after such a harsh belting on his palms... His hands would be bloody and numb or hurting like hell... It would have been better for your story if Halden had belted him on his shoulders or back or whatever but not the hands.

Interesting story so far. Just, here, I'm not sure they can really do what you write with their ankles shackled to the bedposts... Too bad 'cause they really need the comfort.

With respect to your note about Peter's tone...While it's good that you're trying to keep him in character, telling us in an author's note how he's supposed to sound only glosses over the issue. Your real challenge to use that feedback and improve as a writer is to find a way to write Peter's dialogue so that it doesn't give that impression in the first place.

*applause* loll. I literally loved this so much. Such a fantastic ending to a phenomenal story! It was so sweet and touching yet funny- but also still serious. I really liked how Neal almost went to his knees. I understood what you meant by it and it was really heart wrenching but sweet at the same time because it reinforces just how far they have come:) This ending was so great.

This was such a complex and awesome unique idea and you did a truly great job with it. I really enjoyed this so much! Also I'm really intrigued by this Peter being the slave story. WOAH. Excited for that:D I'm not sure about which title they're both cool sounding lol. I kind of like In Chains but frankly they're both good:) Thank you for the awesome fic! :)

Just because Neal shot doesn't mean that he shot Peter ...he could at the last moment shot his Uncle

Please let him have shot that disgusting Halden! That'd be too incredible. I feel like it would make for a good chapter(s) like why he decided to shoot his master instead of Peter when he barely remembered their relationship and what was going on in his mind when he made that decision. Also I hate Halden lol. And Peter can't die! Excited for more3

No, no, no ! It can't come to an end so! Neil cannot kill Peter ! But he can't kill his Master too ! Because he slave ! He is a man with a deeply sick psyche !
Halden deserves a life sentence in prison !
Neal need of treatment , he should have good psychiatrists ! He has to return to normal life !
But it must be a long and arduous way !
This my option !
