Neal thankful speech didn't give them any clue that he might have overheard them? Neal felt that he didn't deserve love anymore? Still he didn't feel like he can talk to Peter and El about what's bothering him?
Maybe you over did it. It's just not natural anymore.

Either he's healthy enough to sit there and shouldn't be in the ICU, or Peter's lost his mind and made a sick child sit in the corner: and the other doctor and nurses let him!

Looking at the whole chapters so far, I feel that Neal should have learnt by now and would go to Peter.
There are already too many incidents that by now he should have learnt. He's smart afterall.
I don't know. It's just not right that he still tried to keep things from Peter at this stage.
So I guess it's the story that need a little improvement. Sorry.

And the punishment was too much, really. Neal faced a bully and survived. At least Peter should have been glad and proud, and then advise him the better actions.

I totally disagree. Peter is not Neal's father. His view of disobedience doesn't apply to Neal who is a person of interest who Peter tried to protect from Keller. It's just illogical if not stupid to keep things thats related to the matter from him.

This story is making me read secretly at work, when I really shouldn't. (But I can't help it, I'm hooked! ;-;)

Ohh this story seems really promising. 3 (And I've got so many chapters still ahead of me, yay!)
I'm happy Neal didn't break during the interview like a typical teen and was generally pretty unpredictable. That really makes it more interesting to read. (Though also more frustrating for poor Peter. :D But you can't blame the guy. He did the right thing given the situation.) All in all pretty realistic.
I just noticed one little thing: didn't Jones take Neal to the bathroom? Since Neal's a witness/culprit he should've waited and taken him back instead of leaving him unattended, but he wasn't there? And due to Peters reaction I assume Neal tried to run out of the bathroom? Or towards the office exit? The way those few sentences are written don't really make it clear to a reader what's happening (though I'm pretty sure you've meant Neal tried to run). But that isn't bad, these are just a few sentences. It's just something I noticed while reading. :3 Otherwise it's an interesting read and because of that I'll stop babbling now and get on with the next chapter. I've still got about 3 hours before I need to hit the bed, so let's see how far I'll get! :)

I just have one idea about what you can add in the next chapter. You can add how after Elizabeth kidnapping, peter insulted security cameras. so basically when they wondered why Neal left or when, the resorted to the cameras in the living room, and discovering what happened, and what Elizabeth's father said to Neal. I wonder how Neal would react!

You realize the Mozzie would NEVER suggest a doc right? He HATES the doctor. He would give Neal some weird concoction (like he did for Peter in that one episode). Just a tip.
