Author has written 5 stories for Rurouni Kenshin, D.Gray-Man, and Inuyasha. To those who seek, In every time and in many places, there lives a most regal princess. A princess of whom I believe you have heard, for many tongues have told her tale and boasted her beauty. She can be found in fact and fable. She often plays a deciding role and is the inspiration of poets and philosophers. People speak of her extravagance, and rightfully so, for her price cannot be named. All think of her, some wait for her, others seek her out. She is desired beyond measure and treasured above life. But she walks among us and is not found. She offers herself yet no one will have her. She opens her mouth and her words are not heard. She is oft not known for it is, at times, difficult to recognize her. But know I have met with her and feel the need to write of her, a description -if you will- that those who seek may find her and know her as I. And so, my friend, I begin. Know first, oh seeker, of her eyes: living sapphires that shine with gladness and compassion. Her eyes look beyond the masks and pretending walls. She sees no faults or sins, but sees only beauty for beauty is all she knows. And her smile, it shines with the light that is joy, and its warmth melts the hardest of hearts. From her mouth comes only truth and she despises empty flattery. She is clothed in grace and mercy is in her hands. Kindness and meekness are ornaments and humility her fragrance. She is neither young nor old; the chains of time do not hold her, for she was before they. Her heart, though broken and contrite, Is strong withstanding all hardship. Her thoughts are pure and noble; her ruling is just and fair. Righteousness goes before her and Peace follows closely behind her. Faith is her closest friends and Wisdom of her dear sister. She is the mother of Kindhearted Charity, and Chivalry is her son. The kingdom she rules is that constant war with another, for those with whom she fights are those of Darkness and Deceit. The generals, Greed, Pride, and Fear, have set many attempts at her life. But worry not, dear reader, for each one in times past has failed. Although they have, at times, succeeded In driving her out for they are crafty and cruel. The prince of this Dark Kingdom, known commonly as Lies, has sought to destroy her precious children. But they have been taught by Aunt Wisdom, and of the prince’s trickery they avoid. So their lives are safe if they follow their lessons, and the princess need not fret. And one day she will end the battles, and bring peace to her domain. Such great beauty and power she possesses; though she knows not of it. She is the highest of all, yet chooses to stay in the lowliest of places. Know her dear reader. Yes, know her well, for another is oft mistaken for her. The Lady Lust will use her name and masquerade or appearance. But the princess’s heart cannot be imitated. Contrarily, Lust will flaunt herself and make Ill Intentions and Jealous her companions. Beware this pretender especially, for she has deceived many, and many more are to come. Guard your hearts, oh precious ones, know she seeks to destroy your life and no good will come from her company. Now faithful seeker, I will give you a secret, or rather a well observed truth. The princess you seek will not show herself and her crown, nor will a herald declare her approach. She delights most highly in disguises, and simplicity is oft her styling. As a servant she will appear, abasing herself and exalting the rest. She gives her all and asks nothing in turn. She is kind unto those who are thankless at heart and those who know nothing but evil. Many find her actions foolhardy and unsightly. My dear reader, I hope this is not the case for you, for the princess will only abide where she and her deeds are welcome. I would still advise you rather to embrace and know by heart her ways for she comes all the more swiftly to those who do as she. Finally, seeker, I would that you know the name of this princess without time, though I do not doubt you know it well. But it seems I am in need of a closing to this work, and in my eyes it will do well. I would also suppose that others may, though it is not likely, read this humble piece of banter. And I perceive it unkind of me to leave them uninformed. And so, with no further delay, nor words left to right, I tell you Love is her name: her name and her identity. I pray you do well with this information, my friend, and that no ill deeds will come of this knowledge, though I doubt your good character would allow it. I wish the same for my happenstance audience. May your lives be enriched and enlightens by my writings, and may you find whom you so faithfully seek. Sincerely, The Observer |
