I think kaoru burning things fits. A good fanfic is like a good joke one thing has to be way out of proportion.

I was so happy to see a new chapter! It was really good and I can't wait for bonding in the basement (with cats - which makes it more fun). Although I do hope Megumi and Sano don't have too much trouble rebuiling their house. As for describing a rainstorm, I don't know if this helps, but here are a few things that come to mind: thunder clapping, wind howling, rain pelting, rumbling thunder, wind roaring, windows rattling, trees rustling. I can't wait for the next chapter!

This chapter spoke to me, My brother and I own and operate a tree service and we are prone to landslides here so I've gotten calls at 3 am many times because this has happened to people and we go out in the rain at 3 in the morning and go cut it off there house. You're description of it as she saw it was fantastic

Ok so it's been LITERALLY YEARS since you last touched this story and you probably don't have plans to finish it. But I just wants to review to tell you how awesome this is! I love the way you interpreted their characters as part of this particular alternate universe. And the premise is great!
