I'm a bit ashamed to admit it, but regarding my current stories, I'm not really satisfied with them anymore. I have like forty stories on my computer right now and I hop from one serie to another so the number keeps growing. The last time I published a chapter was about a year ago I think. Currently I'm in college and working hard, so my time and inspiration is hard in this part of my life. I do continue writing but I have promised myself that -after starting all these stories and then not finishing them- I will only update them once I've finished them.

I have gotten better at writing, I keep growing and I love it, so the stories will probably one day be finished, but that may be thirty years from now if I don't force myself. (And god knows I'm very bad at forcing myself).
Therefore I apologize to all those out there who read my stories and wanted to read the end, I'm sorry but now is not the time T_T

I usually really dislike people who discontinue stories, I still do actually, but I'm going to become one of those dislikable persons.

I also noticed that many stories I read and still want to continue reading have stopped coming, making me wonder if my generation of writers has stopped writing. I've been on this site for over six years now. So please understand and forgive me. :)

Heyyy, update!

I just wanted to say that I've thoroughly had it with haters and flamers. Since I myself haven't updated in a long while you can guess it's not because I'm the one being hated and flames, and if a hater/flamer would read this and find it offensive and think I have issues then yes, I have issues, but not the ones you're looking for.
I have read countless stories here on FF and I never seem to get why people would delibertly and openly hate someone else's work. When a person writes a story which is only slightly off from the cannon plot or universe they start klicking and beating the author mercilessly. if a character is only a tad Mary-Sue, the whole story and whole character will be ridiculed by countless people on forums and communities just for the heck of it. They will be made fun of, they will be laughed over, not even thinking for a second about how the writer must feel when suddenly hearing that their story is put on a community.

I really hate these people. I have issues with them and if you feel the need to defend yourself then come over and fight me for it.

It's true that Mary-Sues are often annoying. But not ALWAYS. I mean, usually a story is bad when the characters are OOC, when there's no "common sense" in the plot, when it's badly written (due to bad grammar etc.) and when the main character of the story is too "perfect". Now I have read bad fanfics, but I've never laughed at them in their face, trying to tell them nicely usually does the trick, they'll get a big scare already if someone nicely tells them their fanfiction is not really enjoyable to read. But don't just yell at them and laugh at them like the internet bullies most haters are. I find that inhumane and just as bad as real-life bullies. Words freaking hurt.

When I see just how many communities there are about Mary-Sue haters and "information points" (Yes, people ask other people to send them Mary-Sue stories so that they can make fun of it, I mean how lazy and fanatic can you get?), I feel literally ashamed of my very race.

Sure, the OC who had glitter swords and is a princess of a faraway country of elfes and wears a magic Always-clean tutu, has a flying horse and a small furry animal friend which talks, that is annoying. Because that's mostly childish and Barbie-fanfic-like. But that doesn't mean an OC can't have swords, can't be a princess, and can't have a horse and be good ar riding it (Because most of the people before 1900 were capable of riding horse-back).
Not all Mary-Sues and otherwise odd stories are directly bad.

I cannot believe that NONE of the haters/flamers have ever written a Mary-Sue fic and have never let their fantasy run wild. Actually, I'm pretty sure we ALL started out as Mary-Sue writers with odd plots, OOC characters and bad grammer. Not everyone is born with English as native language and no one is born without having to learn the art of character development and fillign story plotholes.

Besides, take anime for example, about 95% of the main characters are Mary/Gary-stues. And you know why? Because that's the only thing that makes them interesting and not complete bores. A character with no good looks, no personality, no background and no main talent is depressing. Even we -writers- are not as plain as that because everyone has their talent and everyone has a certain beauty, be it character, be it outer looks. And yes, there are people who have it all. But while Haters are too busy hating anyone who doesn't use the narration of "Her greasy brown hair (Yes, she didn't wash her hair and she cannot be blonde!) and dull brown eyes (Grey is too much like silver/ blue is too pretty/green is too uncommon/ purple doesn't exist) stood like they belonged to a monkey. She was utterly unatactive yet out beautiful main character eventually fell in love with this unatractive person on both the in and outside". Like a beautiful person would ever fall for someone who isn't impressive either on the inside or outside. I mean, that's just being naïve.

Mary-Sue aside, I also hate it when people go search for things which don't fit with the main story line. I am aware that there is cannon, but if it's a small change, who freaking cares?! If I said I wore orange yet I generally dislike orange, no one would give a flying pile of poo, but if a canon character would wear an orange shirt despite hating orange (Which was stated in some extra issue not sold anywhere but in Japan and US) all those haters go freaking nuts!
Or, when how somethign works isn't clearly stated, the writer puts in their one idea and all those people go: "NO! That's not how it works you uncultured pig!".

And Angst is generally not that bad, I mean we all angst. Man, I still angst about a song I was bullied with most through middle school which I still hear occasionally since it actually exists (Well, with different text anyway). How can you not angst about things like death of a family member or a situation you were in in the past. I mean, come on, we humans are build to angst since that's how we recognize that something hurt us and we need to do things to not get hurt in the same way next time.

I'll tell you something haters/flamers:
1. People have actual feelings even if they are on the interenet and you can't see them
2. There are writers who aren't as rabid fans as you are and thus have not worked out every tiny little fact about the fandom
3. Canon characters are not your property to be told whom they would and wouldn't "love"
4. Anime&Manga have unlogical situations and so do many movies (Like unnecessary violence, cliché moments, people who survive ridiculously deadly situations without a broken bone)
5. You aren't Always right
6. You are not the Original author's "protection squad", so back off by defending him/her like you are. You don't have the right. Only they have.
7. Don't like it, don't read it. Easy as pie.
8. There is nothing wrong with constructive criticism, but there is with bullying people and making fun of them
9. Have patience with new/young writers
10. Don't expect everyone to be as fanatic a fan as you are. Not everyone has no life outside FF.
11. For every fault you point out, give two good points in return. It's been scientifically proven that people learn and act better if you also acknowledge what they did good. You don't want to discourage people's very writing, you want to encourage to get better and pen down a good fanfic.

I hope you understand that just because you don't like something you don't have to make a big deal about it. Because while I dislike pears that doesn't mean I'm going to make a webpage about how disgusting they are and how everyone should send me a pear so that I can burn it and dance around the fire.
If you put it like that it's like I'm a psychopath, so I hope you understand what hurting people's feelings (Instead of a pear's) makes you sound like.

And don't you think that above hate-mail there's also the fact that most badly written stories have little reviews. Which is an ego-killer at itself? We don't need your emotional terrorism also.

Just because I'm sticking up for bad fanfiction doesn't mean I don't agree with all critical problems of bad fanfiction and I do agree that there are very bad ones out there with writers who have a lot to learn. I'm just saying that I don't agree with the rabid way you're dealing with the problem. Why punish illiterate people if you can also learn them how to write and read? Why punish a cat for peeing in the room when you can learn it to go on the litter box?
