This is so amazing, I'm actually ashamed I haven't reviewed yet as its my third time reading it. I long for the day when you update this well crafted story. And until then ill patently wait.

Not gonna lie, when I first saw you had updated I was so excited to read another chapter. But seriously, I'm glad you've decided to change it, and your reasoning behind it is completely sound. The whole dynamic between George and Nina's personality is really what keeps this story so interesting, and the fact that you've decided to reconstruct it is amazing. I'll still be here as you slowly but steadily revise the story, rest assured. This is a masterpiece that really deserves it!

In my opinion, I don't think that Nina x Neville would work out...not for a long time and not at present time. In the future, when they are adults...maybe, but not now. The way I see it is that both of them are quiet and insecure in their own way...they don't balance each other out at this point in time. But once Neville gains more self confidence (aka: he continues to work on the improvement we saw in book seven), then yes. (I didn't mention character development regarding Nina because I trust your capable hands). As for Nina becoming sassy over time...character development? And, you know, with potions and magic you can control almost anything so the scizophrenia would be less of an issue in that setting.

I think that this is a brilliant idea. I quite like the basics of your story and I do believe that with revision you can make it even greater, because really that's all writing is. For tons of stories that I've written (here and not here, and I would assume most people have done this) I've ended up totally changing how characters interact with each other because it feels forced sometimes. Writing people is hard, and writing characters that already exist is difficult too I believe. Human interaction in general is a very difficult thing to capture through words, but I believe that you do it well and with revisions it could be even more fun and realistic to read. Good luck! :)

Ahh, this is so relieving to hear ;;A;; I was actually really afraid(terrified) you'd change the main ship. As for how the updates will go...I don't really care either way. I'm just really excited to see this story revamped. I hope I fall in love with it all over again..! I'm especially excited to see how the new/ish story will change Nina as a whole as well as her relationships. Ahh, good luck okay ! I can't wait to see how this will go.

I think it's a good decision, especially if it's one you're happy with. As a fellow writer, I think you should definitely make the edit a separate story so that you can go back and look at it later and see the differences and improvements (and, if someone comes across this years from now as I often do with older stories while surfing, will lead them to check your page to find the remake, and see your other works by extension).
It can do amazing things to your confidence as a writer to go back and read previous things you've wriitten, even if it's just an old draft, and it can give ideas about future works at the same time.

I really liked this story regardless of the problems, and I can't wait to see your edited work and all your future ones!

While I find Neville amazing and all. I don't think it would be worth it to completely revise the story to change the pairings. I honestly really like George and Nina together, though there are a couple moments where George seems a bit ooc. You're almost finished with this story and I believe the best thing to do would be to complete this and write a different story dedicated to Neville. Many people enjoy this story the way it is, but it is your story. You can do whatever you'd like, although I find the way it is to be perfect.

I really DON'T want George and Nina to break up. I thought through all they have been through they would make it to the end and be happy together. I also don't want to feel like all the time I've been reading this is wasted because they don't end up together. No offense, but I would stop reading if it became a NevillexNina. I think your a great and wonderful writer. But I just wouldn't be able to continue. But the choice is yours in the end. I'm just giving my opinion. I know it may seem like an odd couple to you. But to me I think it's a beautiful relationship that went through its rough spots to become a lasting relationship. Anyway, thank you for writing this story. Please let us know of your final decision.

It kind of sounds like you've made up your mind, but for what it's worth I really enjoyed the George x OC ship. I never liked it when Nina was seeing Neville, as their personalities were nearly exactly the same. Personally I never even saw them as particularly close friends. As for the OOC-ness, I liked how Nina grew. She was scared at first and was hard-hearted and cross with other houses, but loyal to her friends. Admittedly there was a few scenes that I found dodgy, but those were few and far between. Yes, George was very OOC, but I loved him just the way he was.
Anyway, it kind of sounds like your mind is made up, but I just wanted to put down my thoughts. Best of luck!

For some reason, I really want you to leave this story for everyone that liked this ship to enjoy because I certainly did. Maybe if you can, like, make a new one instead for the Nev/OC, I would be so grateful! Instead of that, you can also create a copy of this fic, make it into a seperate story, and change this one into a Neville/OC. Not pressuring you or anything, but I really want the George/OC to stay because it was the top 3 I've read so far, so maybe you'll keep my opinions in mind?

As much as I love GeorgexNina I was a huge shipper of NevillexNina at the beginning :) So I'm fine with it :)
