Sigh... The horrible moment I come to the end of an incredible and incomplete story. The pain is deep. I hope this is still being worked on? Would be a darn shame if it has been abandoned. The story is lovely by the way. Not enough Derek stories out there. Well developed characters and loving the Derek and OC romance, very hot. Plus he is just gorgeous! Thanks for the story so far!

I like this story and find that it has a lot of potential. I would like to give you some pointers if you don't mind? Overall your plot is solid. When it comes to writing, you tend to use the word "I" a lot. Which I know isn't fair to point out when you're writing in first person. There are other ways to start a sentence without using the word "I".

"I can hear a growl in Derek's voice as he speaks next"

"There's an unmistakable hint of a growl in Derek's voice as he speaks next."

"I toss my phone to the side as I stare at the note on the page."

"The phone lands on my bed, I'm done with the conversation. My eyes land on the scribbled note on the page."

Those are just some examples of how it can be written. You're doing a great job with keeping everyone in character, Derek especially! Keep on writing and keep on kicking ass! :]
