Author has written 3 stories for Harry Potter. "Je ne veux pas travailler/je ne veux pas dejeuner/je veux seulement oublier/et puis je fume" - Pink Martini A few things about myself: -I love all types of music. Especially old french jazz, modern french jazz, and indie. Most pop, however, irritates me. -I almost never read incomplete stories. So many times I've started a good story only to be disappointed when the author doesn't complete it. For this reason, I'm only going to post complete stories. -I have a strong sweet tooth. Chocolate is my crack. -Most times, I'm a very good critic. I know all the rules and regulations of fiction writing (I got an A in a Fiction Writing course). However, I'm not a very good writer. You know what they say: Those who can't do, teach. -I attend university in the US. It was my number one choice when applying, and I'm so happy I go there. I truly don't mean to brag, but it's one of the best in the country. And in my opinion, IT'S THE BEST PLACE EVER!! For the sake of privacy, I won't mention the name. -I tend to avoid celebrity culture, but I do love Emma Watson. I might even go as far to say that she inspires me. In fact, anyone in the Harry Potter cast is pretty much good in my book. They don't have that saccharine attitude that comes along with Hollywood. -I enjoy history and chemistry/physiology to the point of insanity. I'm one of those people who corner people at dinner parties, asking them what they think about the Zimmerman note and cracking jokes about the Heisenburg Uncertainty Principle. -I'm not very gregarious, but I'm not too shy either (I hope). -I like authors like Amy Chua, Harper Lee (despite the fact she only wrote one book), Sophie Kinsella, George Orwell (Eric Arthur Blair), David Sedaris, and J. K. Rowling, all of whom I believe to be expert writers. -I abhor the nonsensical and poor excuse for a novel that so many women seem to be gripping so tightly called Fifty Shades of Grey. I used to be a "whatever-gets-them-reading" kind of girl, until that thing became a bestseller. -J'aime parler français. Je crois que c'est la plus belle langue du monde. J'espère améliorer mon français. S'il y a des gens qui parlent français, envoyez-moi un message, s'il vous plaît! My absolute favorite character in any movie or book is Hermione Granger. I can read pretty much any story if she's the main character (except ones where she's involved in a romantic relationship with someone practically twice her age...disgusting!). I love her because, for once, there's a strong female who's flawed yet intelligent beyond anything and not afraid to stand up for what she believes. I could go on and on about why I love this character so much, but I recently found an article that explains why I admire her so: http:///laura-hibbard/hermione-granger-the-hero_b_898414.html I love the Ron/Hermione romance from the Harry Potter books, but I do enjoy a few other non-canon pairings. Just a few. I'm not too fond of the Scorpius and Rose pairing. I never read Harry and Ginny fanfiction (although I do support them, I suppose) because I've had my fill with that ship during my time with J. K. Rowling's original Harry Potter. I realized today that I can only write Draco/Hermione fics. Why? I don't know. I'm totally in love with J. K. Rowling's canon pairing, Ron/Hermione, but there's something about "Dramione" that makes it easier to write (and sometimes read) than "Romione." I think it's because I'm so afraid of ruining J. K. Rowling's original work that I just want to invent an entirely different situation. To Harry Potter Fans: Have you read Harry, a History by Melissa Anelli? The stories about the shipping wars between fans are scary. That's all I want to say. Have a great day :) haha that rhymed :D |
