I've been reading J.R.R. Tolkien's books for nearly 25 years now, and when I discovered Tolkien Fanfiction. I was really fascinated. And for I was not very successful in finding "good" Fanfiction in my own language, I started to search in english archives. And soon enough I created my own Fanfiction site; an increasing number of translated stories (from english into german) can already be found there. Berserk was written as a reaction to the amok shooting which took place at a school in Winnenden, Germany on March 11, 2009. Another author told me that she didn't know where Mollly Weasley's rage against Bellatrix during the Second Battle at Hogwarts came from. I thought of the ten lost children from that school - and what their parents must have felt beside their shock and grief - and Berserk was my answer.
