I really liked this, you showed how anguished Ron was about everything the Horcrux told him and then there's Hermione declaring she loved him more than books. You are right, Ron was not himself when he walked out on Hermione and Harry. He had been through the trauma of being splinched in addition to being taunted by that Horcrux. It's pretty clear he loved Hermione and was dedicated to Harry, they were his best friends and they wouldn't be able to survive without him.

How could they have survived Malfoy Manor without Ron? They'd be dead at the hands of Bellatrix and Voldemort. Ron saved them when he told Dobby to Apparate the first few prisoners to Shell Cottage. He knew Bill and Fleur would be able to take good care of them.

Great story! I have no other words to say as I'm blown away.

Hahaha :) Nice ending. That was a really sweet oneshot.

This story is just perfect. The dynamic you have between Ron and Hermione is flawless. It's truly wonderful reading how dedicated and loving Hermione is with Ron...it's entirely a 3-dimensional love.

What Ron fan wouldn't be overjoyed to read this and see how totally willing Hermione was to defend Ron, to pick him up when he falls (literally and emotionally), and to remind him of all his goodness when he forgets it himself?

Even more impressively, you manage to do that while simultaneously lancing some annoying cliches/myths that pervade fanfiction.

Number one, you remind everyone of the horrible circumstances surrounding Ron's departure from the tent. He didn't storm off in a childish fit. He was critically wounded and dealing with pure evil around his neck. I'm not saying that Ron was justified in leaving, but it's at least understandable why he left. Many people give him no benefit of the doubt in this area, which makes no sense. He's been at Harry's and Hermione's sides for years.

Next, you flay that ridiculous line from the 6th book where Hermione calls Harry fanciable. Lol, has one line ever generated so much madness? Witness all these desperate H/Hr shippers excising thousands of pages of the books and focusing in on this one line as Proof! that Hermione likes Harry romantically. No contextualization required...because that would ruin it, and show everyone that Hermione was making a comment in the same way that she would spout a fact from Hogwarts a History.

Anyway, great fic, and great R/Hr!
