![]() Author has written 1 story for Twilight. My Twilight Obsession began in 2008 when my oldest daughter called me up on the phone and said "Mom I just read my first book from cover to cover" - It made me laugh because although I have always been a reader, she was not. So of course I had to know what this miraculous work of fiction was. She told me it was Twilight, and it was a love story about a vampire and a girl. That also intrigued me because I have always loved Vampire Romance Books...Southern Vampire Mystries - The Black Dagger Brotherhood - The Breed Series - all on my list of favorites. So I told my daughter bring the book over and I'll read it. She brought it to me on a Sunday night, it sat on top of the entertainment center until Tuesday night. That was when I thought "ok let's see how great this thing is" ...I didn't get up from the couch, I didn't sleep, all I did was read...The next afternoon I called my daughter and asked where the second book was - I cried all the way through New Moon and from page 53 - 451 I refered to Edward as 'The RB' - The Rat Bastard - I couldn't believe The Rat Bastard left Bella...and she was such a mess, the pain and grief of his leaving was something that had such a profound effect on her life that it altered everything and everyone around her. The RB did that to her and the pages of my book were stained with my tears...It is so hard for me to read New Moon that even now (yes i still reread the books) I start crying at just of thought of what is going to happen. The next day my daughter-in-law loaned me copy of Eclipes and Sunday morning I made my husband drive me to the book store to buy a copy of Breaking Dawn...I sat down on the couch at 6pm that night and I finsished all 754 pages by 3pm the next day...I was so distraught that the series was over I didn't know what to do - So I started reading them again ... And that was how I became a TwiHard... I have several copies of each book, I have them on CD and listen to them whenever I'm working in the kitchen, I have the series down loaded on my phone, my nook, and my computer...so no matter where I am, I always have access to the characters I love so very much... That was how I discovered the world of FF... The world of Fan Fiction was opened to me a few years ago. I had already read SM's Saga at least six times and wanted so much more of the characters who I had come to know and love. On the net I put "Twilight and Honeymoon" into the seach engine and low and behold I was lead to my very first FF story. Let Your Light Shine - by Lola Shoe If you are going to be sucked into a new obsession what better way to do it than with one of the Best. The next story I read and devoured to the point of reading the work at least ten times and still to this day finding myself getting lost in it for no other reason then I need a fix, is my all time favorite - Absolute Best Story Ever!!! Emancipation Proclamation -by Khazzamatrik EP is what I give a FFF rating - (Freak'n - Fuck'n - Fantastic) There is not any other story that has captured my attention of kept me up night after night reading and re-reading than that story...just amazing Other all time favs would be Fate & Forgotten Secrets - by snshyne Master of the Universe - by Icy Clipped Wings and Inked Armor - by hunterhunting Best dark story with enough taboo to make you cringe is The Perfect Wife - by rmcrms5 I don't normally read O/S I perfer long stories but I do have one that I love The Marriage of True Minds - by AngryBadgerGirl I never actually thought about writing a story. There are so many awesome writers and I wasn't sure if anyone would really be interested in something I wrote and I just didn't think I had the time. But I was reading so many BDSM theme stories that were irratating me in their lack of knowledge or how they would protray their characters and the D/s relationship. I started kicking around the idea for Diamond in the Rough and putting a few chapters down on paper...before I knew it there were 10 chapters done. With no experience and having no idea what the heck iI was doing I started posting...and people started reading... So Diamond in the Rough is my first fan fiction, it has an adult theme, but I wanted to display a lifestyle that comes across as harsh and scarey in a light that is warm and caring. My Edward is my perfect man, he's handsome, strong, charming. compassionate and just a little bit kinky.. My story takes place over the course of a few months, it's not rushed, I don't plan to skip around. It depicts the daily lives of two people who unexpectedly find each other only to realize that it was fate. Along the way they discover things about themselves, eachother and also those around them. They learn to depend on one another while seemingly insignificant circumstances begin to occur around them until they can no longer be denied or shunned off as coincidence. The story has romance, mystry and laughter...It's a slow burn of a story, with hints of 'Who Done It' and "Why" thrown in along the way...much like an Agatha Christy novel ...the clues are given and it's just a mater of piecing the puzzle together...until the end when you say "OH MY GOD!" -- DitR is also posted on The Writer's Coffee Shop, that is where you can find the pictures for the story under my extra's page. There are also some Out Takes that have been posted under any name as a second story. I tried to give a heads up as to which OT goes with it's corresponding chapter, that way you won't be confused) I would suggest that you read the OT after reading the chapter... I also post DitR on my blog, and there is a lot of information posted there. I will also tell you that my blog is the first place updates get posted. It's just they are my raw copies that have not been edited by my lovely beta M. As I said there are all kinds of information, pictures, music and slide shows on there so check it out. Especially if you want a first look at the new chapters. http:///?zx=6d3a345dea762f9d Ok some personal stuff 1. I'm an old Twilighter - 47, Married to the man I met when I was 16. We are married 29 years. I have 8 children (with said husband) and 6 grandchildren. 2. We live in Northeastern PA, it is cold in the winter, hot and humid in the summer, the leaves are beautiful and the air is crisp in the fall, and in the spring the trees bud and the smell of drying dew is incredible...I love it here. 3. Some pet peevs. I hate and will refuse to read anything that does not have Edward with Bella. It's OK if Jasper gets thrown in, but they can never end up together. In my book that is sacrilegious. And Bella can never, ever be with Emmett, that amounts to incest in my book...gross I hate when authors are writing kick ass stories that I love, and then stop. Or worse begin something else leaving the first on the back burner. I hate reviews that turn into personal attacks. Some of my favorite writers have dealt with this. Constructive criticism is one thing, personal attacks because someone doesn't like the content of the story is uncalled for. If you don't like the content, or it offends you, don't read it. There are millions of other story's out there. If you want a rec e-mail me, I'll tell you some fantastic stories, with all different themes. That's a brief run down ... please feel free to contact me, I try really hard to get back to everyone and have made a few friends along the way ... be well...lmlx8 |
