![]() Author has written 32 stories for Harry Potter. Joined by chance fandom after HBP, I discovered, unexpected, a wonderful bunch of tales and after some time I too dared to start some writings... despite the fact that English is not my first language. Bookworm AND teacher can't help but love HG SS stories, which after DH I find to be, even more than before it, the most gratifying to be read and to be written. Two fan fiction have been the milestones of my love for this relationship, and they aren't romance: True colors by Elephas (I still cry every time I re read it) and Who Lives in Disguise by Duj. Every time I think to HBP the moment where Snape meets Hermione and Luna at the end of the book is in my mind and in my heart that written by Duj, I can't anymore feel the original story without that heartbreaking scene. And that rhyme from the riddle of the Sphinx, well... all that poem has inspired my drabble series, The Last Thing to Mend. Many insightful comments or explanations about everything related to Snape I've read in the wonderful stories by Whitehound and in her essays, comments and website. What she does is a gift to everyone that cares for this character, and it's very helpful for those who, like me, love canon-compatible (even if EWE, of course) stories. After DH's release I thought that the AU scenario of which I wrote in my first tales, which are almost all related, had become completely impossible, because the role of Headmaster, that to me had seemed a way to give him the respect and the importance that he deserved, surely couldn't have been endured anymore by Snape after that awful last year. Other tales followed, some happy and some sad, some for a good laugh and some for a good cry, as life goes. Just one more time, Forever, Homecoming and Giving Hostages to Fortune form my last series since I like to go on in these alternative universes and to see what happens next... On my Livejournal I’ll try to say more about good readings, favourites & c, as a reminder to me and to everyone who is interested. I've then taken part of the SSHG Exchange and of the SSHG Promptfest, my last three stories, Hogwarts Chronicles, or How We Won the War, Goodbye Professor Snape and Matching Cores were written for those feasts. Writing Matching Cores gave me the chance to put in it something taken from two of my earliest fan fictions (Welcome to Diagon Alley, a ficlet where Severus bought his first wand, and also Just One More Time, where an Irish phoenix shows great affinity with Snape). So to write this fanfic, my thirtieth one :) was like squaring the circle and a way to feel as if the alternative universes built during these years could have even more completeness. Rosemary is for remembrance and Snape, together with my memories, is even more the unforgettable hero that inspires my writings. August 2013 |
