Outer Heaven has fallen...

Hey, it's Soldier's Shadow here (obviously) and I'm here to announce that I am retiring from fanfiction.net after two years of posting here. In those years, I've made some successes and some failures here but all in all; I had a great time here, met plenty of great people and had a good deal of fun. The reason for my departure from this site that I knew as a second home (Outer Heaven) for two years, is because Junior year of high school starting up last week and a huge amount of work being delivered practically daily. I have been frequenting this place much less frequently and that's primarily the reason. Other reasons include the crippling trends in some of the fandoms on this thread that worked against me at times and I don't think I'd be able to deal with them much longer. I've made a new base of operations in deviantArt where I'm going to focus my writing efforts from now on and hopefully I'll achieve similar results to the successes I've made her with some of my fics; notably the MGS ones that I still love for the successful feedback it brought me, the RE ones which were fun to do and let me toy around with Albert Wesker and the others and my crossover fics that I will always remember as golden, especially Dantenetta, Bliss and the MGS/RE ones.

I'd like to take this moment to thank some pretty awesome people that I've come to know over the years here.

Tora-Katana: My friend, we've spoken for so long and you've given me a lot of inspiration and fond memories to remember. Your fics are awesome, even though I haven't been able to keep up with them lately and I hope your works remain successful.

Sons of Ocelot: You were one of my first friends here on the site and for that I thank you. If only our collab fic was able to get off the ground, we spent alot of time coming up with ideas for it and it would have been one of our most epic hits on this whole site if we finished it. I'll look back on our days of MGS and Bayonetta talk as some of the gold moments of my time here, bud.

GamerBlake: One of the best reviewers I've ever had in my career working here. His input was highly valued and inspirational to all of my fics that he reviewed with. My friend, I bid you adieu.

Supermodel Sandwich: You were one of my best friends in the RE section and I'll miss you, pal. It was a lot of fun talking to you about RE and your feedback to my fics was awesome and very helpful and inspirational. May your RE works go on and serve you well in the future, friend.

There are others out there too but several of them are also on dA (RevanBodyguard, Lays, blacksand1, Zephyr) so this is my farewell address to the ones I've listed, everyone else whom I've met and gotten along with over these two years and to my former readers and watchers out there.
