This is a serious attempt at a "real" season, embracing all the major characters, and most minor ones, and major/minor plotlines for each of them. There will be 10 episodes plus a Christmas Special. I want to explore the past of my favorite trio: Elsie/Charles/Beryl. I will devote one chapter to the childhood of each of them and then I will write how their roads crossed at Downton and how they became friends for life. Elsie is turning fifty and because of that, she decides to look back at her life to find out what she has achieved so far and the notions are not too satisfactory...She is struggling with this heavy burden all by herself, until the certain butler will come to the rescue. Will he manage to persuade her that she is still a desirable woman?...

Mrs Patmore is devastated, because she wants Archie's name to appear on the memorial, so she asks Mrs Hughes to convince Carson to that idea. Since the traditional request failed, Elsie decides to use some of her magic to persuade Charles. Will she succeed?

The sun begins to set over Scarborough while newly wed Charles and Elsie reflect on their love and the new life they have begun together.

CarsonxHughes, CarsonxCarson and HughesxHughes getting over the fears taught by society and getting their shit together. Set during and after s4, with various lines of dialogue from s5 and possibly s6 (we'll see).

"I'd like to know that your love/Is love I can be sure of/So tell me now, and I won't ask again." This is what happens while listening to '60s classics and watching a forehead kiss for the 500th time.

But in the end, it was the simple moments that proved their love. The upstairs and downstairs of Downton Abbey watch the Carsons during their marriage and see the moments that define them.

Elsie goes to Argyle every year at the same time. Except when she has to throw a last minute party that Lady Mary demands to have. All is normal, until a young girl shows up and throws everything off kilter.

Alternate Universe where Charles and Elsie live very different lives in Victorian times. Elements of As Time Goes By and Last Tango in Halifax.

This is an AU story set during Series 4 and is largely a Chelsie story, following the relationship between Charles and Elsie. However Robert, particularly, plays a significant role in the story as an unlikely friendship develops, and to a lesser extent Cora. As both relationships face difficulties, a friendship offers much comfort.

Mrs. Hughes finds a letter addressed to herself on the floor outside the butler's pantry. She doesn't have to open the letter to discover who wrote it; she would know his handwriting anywhere. This takes place shortly after the end of the S3 Christmas Special.

Charles and Elsie have some summer fun at the seaside! Set during Series/Season 4.

After his heart attack, Mr. Carson realizes he could have missed his opportunity to tell Ms. Hughes exactly how he feels. Wedding Bells for Carson and Hughes

As music plays and wine flows at the post-Christmas dance for staff, Mr. Carson and Mrs. Hughes do something so unexpected it gets the whole house talking.

They are like parents to the staff and to some other people that live at Downton Abbey (although they both won't admit it...)
