| Manygreentrees chapter 13 . 12/27/2017 Thank you for so thrillingly filling in one of those gaping holes from canon, the morning after the heartwarming Christmas Eve proposal of Charles Carson to Elsie Hughes. Elsie is so excited, and Charles is bursting with happiness, but, there are tasks to be done, people to supervise, questions to answer. Elsie is obsessed with tidiness, especially of her hair - is it her relief valve? Charles wants to find Elsie, to see her, feast his eyes on her, in fact. But, he can't find her, busy and all over the place as she is. His equanimity is upset alright. But, she finds him. That gentle hand squeeze - so subtle, just the feeling , great work. And his spirits settle to her beaming smile. I doubt she's worrying about tidy hair then,either, because they've found where they feel best, right next to each other. Excellent a real Christmas pearl pure, gleaming and warm. Thank you. |
