I'm flexible. —FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT MY WORKS— A Deadly Secret (Edited: December 25, 2015): Requested by LeonardFan (on fanpop). This is one of my most favorite works because I enjoy reading mysteries myself and attempting to deduce the answer from clues. This was my first time writing a mystery, and it was just as enjoyable to watch my readers deduce from the clues. This is also the first fan fiction that was requested for me to write. Before writing it, I hadn't anticipated ever writing a mystery, and I was glad LeonardFan could give me the short description for the fan fiction so I could turn it into an enjoyable story (at least that was my goal). I think my favorite part about writing it was trying to think of different clues to drop and trying my best to delay revealing the answers as long as I could. I hope my readers enjoyed reading it as much as I did writing it. A Silent Curse (Edited: December 25, 2015): When Julien tries to steal from the baboons, Darla casts yet another curse upon him that leaves him a bit speechless. How will he break it? The inspiration for this came from the movie, A Thousand Words, starring Eddie Murphy. Flying Home for Christmas (Edited: December 25, 2015): As inspiration from the Black & White Christmas Album endorsed by the Penguins of Madagascar Movie. It's a humanized Skilene story in which the team has to fly to Seattle, Washington for a meeting just four days before Christmas, and Marlene worries that they may not make it home in time. But Skipper promises her that nothing will stand in his way of getting back before the holidays. Can he keep his promise? Gender Loving Care (Edited: December 26, 2015): For anyone scared away by the title, Gender Loving Care is NOT a gender-switch-type story. When Skipper pressures Marlene with female stereotypes, Marlene becomes very defensive and shoots him down with an equal amount of male stereotypes. Arguing ensues, and the team worries they may not be able to settle their differences. But Kowalski thinks of a brilliant idea that he hopes will allow the two to see through each other's eyes. Many More Miles to Walk (Edited: December 26, 2015): There was an accident. The sun doesn't seem to shine as bright anymore and a silence has fallen over the entire zoo. One resident was injured, but everyone has been affected. No one knows if things will ever return to normal. The inspiration for this story actually came from my own grandmother, who had a seizure and had to take physical therapy to walk again. It took her about a month, but she's doing very well now. Things will never be the same again, but it's just one of those things we have to live with. Operation: Trick-Or-Scream (Edited: December 27, 2015): A one-shot dedicated to Halloween! When Halloween rolls through Central Park, the ducklings insist that the penguins play the part. Although, Private has some issues on choosing a costume with only hours to go on. What will he choose? To see a full-size image of the cover, drawn by yours truly, click here. This was THE first one-shot I'd ever written. I've edited it, but it's still the same plot. Overdue Confession (Edited: December 27, 2015): This takes place a day after the ending of The Penguins of Madagascar Movie. The penguins have rejoined the circus crew and are taking a train to their next adventure. Along the ride, Skipper has some time to think about everything that happened with Dave. When Private finds him, he finally reveals what he thinks about his little cadet—how he's always felt. Contains fatherly/son Pripper. POM Skits (Edited: December 28, 2015): I started picturing these funny little scenes in my mind and planned on working them into a fan fiction, but realized that it was kind of difficult. Especially considering the works that I was—and still am currently—writing. So, I figured that I'd just turn them into little shorts and post them by themselves, and am satisfied with that decision. I personally love skits, as I love to laugh, and thought this project was really fun to work with. There are currently six sets of ten; the first set are just regular skits that you could imagine in an episode, the second set is for all you Skilene fans, and the third set is for our villains. The fourth installment showcases Julien in several antics and the fifth shows situations in which the characters are human. The sixth installment is for you Dorski fans, requested by KowalskiGeekGirl. The most recent installment is dedicated to the villainous octopus, Dave. If you have any ideas for skits, let me know! I have some ideas, but someone had requested a set, so I thought, why not make this a public option? However, please adhere to my guidelines listed at the top of my profile: —BASIC STUFF TO KNOW ABOUT ME— Fan Fiction Content. Stay tuned for the seventh installment: Places Skits! Requested by a catty-cat-cat. Coming soon! Sacrifice (Edited: December 28, 2015): Finally, a homework assignment I WANT to do! My English teacher told us that we had to write a "frame story," or a story about someone telling a story. She said it could be any genre, and about anything we wanted (as long as it's school appropriate, of course). Naturally, I took the opportunity to write this. I was actually planning on making it a Denmark story when I first thought of it, but then my brain said, "LOL, nope." Anywho, I hope you enjoy reading my homework assignment as much as I enjoyed making it! LOL, that sounds weird. It's a futuristic story about a noble sacrifice and a recollection worth a million laughs and twice as many tears. I also made a 100 on it! That's an A in my country (not sure how grading scales work in other areas in the world). Hope you guys think I deserve it! Skipper's Curse (Edited: December 29, 2015): Contains Skilene. Why has Skipper never admitted to his feelings for Marlene? This story is written in first-person and through Skipper's eyes, you can see not only how he feels about Marlene, but how he feels about everyone in the zoo. Despite his steel overcoat, this military operative has feelings, too. Of course, he'd only ever reveal that in his thoughts. Bottom line, the zoo is a family. And it's Skipper's job to protect them. Stupid Crazy Love (Edited: December 29, 2015): This is meant to be a background story of Skipper and Hans' history in Denmark. In this humanized fan fiction, a special girl of Hans' struggles to protect her child from Hans' full proof evil plan. But what happens if this plan backfires when what was meant to be play affection becomes real? That Kidsmas Feeling (Edited: December 29, 2015): It's Christmastime, or should I say Kidsmastime in Central Park, and Julien thinks he should have the spotlight this year, since he'd been denied it before. Can Julien be reminded of the true meaning of Christmas? This is one of the first one-shots I'd ever written. The plot is a little corny in my opinion, but it's one of those stories that I still have a soft spot for because it was one of my first (but obviously edited by now). Tradition (Edited: December 30, 2015): It's holiday fun in Central Park, but Skipper and Marlene get caught up in a "traditional" situation. In this one-shot cliffhanger, you will be left with the question: Is there something more between Skipper and Marlene, or was it simply just "tradition"? Two Simple Words (Edited: December 30, 2015): Home (2015) fan fiction. I do normally write for The Penguins of Madagascar, but after viewing Home a few times, I felt the unbearable urge to write this. I wanted to see Smek get what he deserved. "I'm sorry" can go a long way, but only if you truly mean it. FAN FICTION STATUS: Previous Project: I Know Her. You know the drill. Marlene finally meets Antonio and he falls head over heels for her, so much that he's deathly afraid of accidentally doing or saying something that will blow his chances with her. So, when Marlene tells him that Skipper knows her better than anyone, Antonio goes to him for advice to win her heart. But what happens when Skipper senses that something is off about him? He soon discovers that it isn't Antonio that's the problem—it's himself. Current Project: Operation: Challenge. I was in the mood for a challenge, so I looked one up online. I found one with a hundred prompts listed with a set of rules to follow. I'll be writing a story for each prompt at my own leisure. Rules and constraints I've set for myself are listed at the beginning of the first installment. Upcoming Project: A Lesson In Life (tentative title). Dave told the penguins his story in his life as a reject, but he didn't mention the intricate details. How could he? The penguins didn't even remember him. This is Dave's real story, starting with his life with the penguins, to his round-the-world adventures, to his rise as Dr. Octavius Brine. Requested by 100-YardStare. First chapter will be posted on: TBA. WHAT I'VE BEEN WORKING ON (titles and descriptions will be given when I'm getting ready to publish): Due to high demand, I have started working on a sequel to Many More Miles To Walk. A humanized murder mystery in Skipper's point-of-view. A futuristic post-apocalyptic story. Dr. Blowhole finally took over the world, but when a ghost from his past returns, he's going to have a full-scale revolution on his flippers. What exactly happened between the penguins and Dave? —RECOMMENDED FOR YOU— Normal by 100-YardStare. In this thrilling post-"Penguins of Madagascar Movie" fan fiction, Dave kidnaps an unsuspecting woman from her own home when she learns just a little too much information, information that he doesn't want getting to his enemies. She is forced to work alongside Dave in his alter ego, Dr. Octavius Brine, and after an insane mess of mishaps and chaos, it is brought into question what the real definition of "normal" really is. Don't be scared away because an OC is running the show because you have never seen an OC, nor a fic, quite like this. What I love most about this fic is how unexpected and exciting it is. Not only are the events unexpected, but the feelings I got from them. Beyond DNA by GrandOldPenguin. In this touching fan fiction, set in the future, Skipper is given his most important mission when an egg is left in his care. But what happens when the mission changes? Break out your tissue boxes and prepare yourself for a waterfall of tears in this heart-shattering, yet heart-warming, story. I have always loved this story because it brings into question what the real definition of a parent is. If you love it as I have, I recommend reading its sequel, Operation: Fluffy Pink Sugar. The REAL Love Smoothie by JV's Jack. In this exciting fan fiction, Marlene's tolerance is put to the test when Skipper accidentally drinks a rather powerful concoction made by Kowalski, whose initial intentions was to finally win Doris over once and for all. Marlene is flattered by the sudden attention from Skipper, but what happens when Skipper wants to take their relationship . . . to the next level? You may be on the edge of your seat as you try to discern exactly when the suspense will end. What I love most about this fan fiction is how exhilarated I felt while wondering how things were going to be fixed. Sleeping with the Enemy by JV's Jack. In this enthralling fan fiction, Marlene's heart and mind are put to the test as a foxy penguin infiltrates the penguins' lives. Her relationship with Skipper will never be the same. What I love most about this story is the sheer suspense in the need to know what would happen next. Loved it? Be sure to check out the sequel, Femme Fatality. East of Nowhere by GrandOldPenguin. In this touching fan fiction, Skipper makes it his mission to reunite Marlene with her parents in California. But when their plane crashes, they have to try to survive until the team can rescue them. What I love most about this fic is its heart as Skipper and Marlene rely on each other to live. Skipper's Log by Esperata. In this mysterious fan fiction, Marlene listens to Skipper's logs while the team is away on a mission. She discovers a lot about him and the team, dating back to before they even were one. But she also learns a little something she never would have imagined discovering. What I love most about this fic is the strategy used to give the reader information, but not answer every question, leaving a bit of mystery. How May I Love You? by Porsche101. In this romantic comedy, Skipper mistakes innocent friendship between Marlene and Julien as signs of affection. With such a misunderstanding, things are bound to go awry. What I love most about this fic is the flow of events leading up to the climax, and how it goes to show you that everything is not as it seems—in more ways than one. FQAs Q: Do you take requests? A. It depends on what you aim for the plot to be, and what category. I typically write for The Penguins of Madagascar, but I am not opposed to writing for other fandoms. Q: As one of your readers, why does it take so long for you to post a new story? A: The main reason is schoolwork getting in the way. Other reasons may include distractions, as I am easily distracted. However, on weekends and during the summer, I have made it a priority to get some work done. Q: Can you: proofread, read, review, favorite, etc. a story of mine? A: I enjoy doing any of the above. If you want to know if I like the topic you've written for, check my Beta Profile (link at top of this profile). It has listed all of the topics I'm interested in. However, I do not read anything intimate beyond kissing. I don't mind slash, so long as it doesn't get too provocative. Q: Do you do crossovers? A: I don't prefer doing crossovers. I really don't even read them, but I'm not opposed to it, depending on the crossover. Q: Do you roleplay? A: No. I personally don't like roleplaying, myself. If someone does a character justice, I don't mind watching someone else roleplay. I just don't like doing it. Q: Where do you get the inspiration/ideas for a story? A: Usually, a television show or a 'what if' question. A couple of my upcoming stories were actually inspiration from something that my mom told me about. Q: Do you have any OCs? A: No. I use characters in my stories that I create, but it is typically just for that one story, and only to make that story work. I really don't like OC's, personally. Q: Will you have any 'Mature' scenes in your stories? A: I have nothing beyond some intimate kissing and mild cursing. I have one story I'm planning on publishing in the future that may get a bit dramatic and (maybe) a bit violent, but otherwise, no; I have no 'Mature' scenes in my stories. Q: I notice you have the date of the last edition to your stories at the bottom of your profile. What do you mean by 'last edited'? A: Often, I read through my stories and edit them. Nothing to change the plot, however. There is nothing added nor deleted as far as anything that would change anything on the storyline. What I mean by 'last edited' is that being the last time I proofread my stories for structure, grammar, typos, repetition, etc. If you catch any yourself in reading any of my stories, please let me know and I will edit it as soon as possible. If you have any other questions, feel free to PM me anytime. —MY PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT— Have you noticed how warm weather has been lasting longer and has been getting hotter?—and how winter has been shorter and colder? Compare Greenland's beautiful landscapes of snow from ten years ago to today. Do you see the difference? There is only one answer. Many around the world feel that global warming isn't a big deal. Now, before you start scrolling away from this, I can promise you this PSA will not be a waste of your time, unless you already recognize the dangers of global warming and realize it's becoming a problem. First order of proof: In the last ten to fifteen years, the weather has seen its highest of highs and lowest of lows year by year. But why has it been getting hotter? Because carbon dioxide levels in Earth's atmosphere has rapidly increased in recent years. Millions of tons of carbon dioxide are released into the air every day. Now, who likes science experiments? If I take two sealed containers, fill one with 10% carbon dioxide and 90% oxygen, and another with 48% carbon dioxide and 52% oxygen, and then set them by a window, what would happen? The container with more carbon dioxide would rapidly increase in temperature while the one with less would increase in temperature, but much slower. Think of the earth as the container with 48% carbon dioxide. But why is it a big deal? So, the earth's getting hotter. Longer periods in the year with warm weather! More beach time! Yay! More snow in the colder winters! Yay! Wrong. Not yay. Although the desire for more beach time and more snow days is strong for many, think about what will happen to the planet. Let's talk population control. No, not the human population. Let me use an example. Pine weevils are very active during warm weather, and either die off or hibernate during the winter. With these longer periods of warm weather, they'll be able to breed and destroy large amounts of pine trees. So what? you may ask. It's just pine trees. Who's that hurting? Well, if pine weevils breed in warm weather, think about what other types of insect, parasite, and animal relies on warm weather to survive. There are more than you may think. Think about all the environmental issues that can ensue from this imbalance. Okay, so a bunch of bugs will eat up the environment. How does that affect me? It may or may not affect you directly, but the fact of the matter is that it's affecting Earth in drastic ways. I still don't really care. I mean, why should I? All right. So you don't care about population imbalance in Earth's vast varieties of organisms. Here's something you will care about: What if you ended up homeless within the next fifty years? That's right. Homeless. How the hell would that happen? you're probably asking. I've got good financial stability. I ain't goin' nowhere. So, you have money. Good for you. It will do nothing to save you from the upcoming disaster. Guess what? You could be underwater in the next few decades. If you're old, this won't apply to you, most likely. But if you're young, or have children, nieces, etc. you really care about, you should keep reading. We all know there's a North and South Pole (but sadly, no Santa). Huge chunks of ice, yes? That won't melt. WRONG. They're melting as you read this post. They've been melting rapidly for a while now. Now, if you pay close attention; if you put a single ice cube in a glass of water and it melts, the water doesn't rise; but if you stack a bunch of ice on top of each other in a glass and it melts, the glass will overflow with water. That's what's happening to the ice caps. The raise in carbon dioxide levels in Earth's atmosphere is not only heating up the caps, thus causing them to melt, it is also heating up the water around it, which makes it melt even faster. In the past decade, a large chunk of Antarctica just broke off due to this very fact. Guess what? The oceans are the glass. If the caps melt, the oceans will rise—considerably. Millions upon millions will become homeless because the sea level will rise and submerge cities and towns. What comes to mind if I say the ocean will rise, say, thirty feet? I'm farther than thirty feet away from the ocean. No big deal for me. Maybe it won't be, but not for that reason. I'm talking vertical feet. How far above is your home from sea level? For example, if you live in, say, New Orleans, Louisiana, you are about 25 feet above sea level. You're underwater. Okay, so I am well above sea level, and no one I care about is. I still don't see a reason to care. Okay, fair enough. Millions of people you don't care about are going to either drown or become homeless. You shouldn't care. Or should you? Where will these people go? Centuries ago, Earth's population was exponentially smaller than today. Why? Because of technological and medical advances, of course. You are correct. But why did these advances help the population grow? Because it allowed more people to live, and live together. Let's take fifty people and put them in a tiny room together for twenty-four hours. Only one has a cold but doesn't yet show many symptoms. We let these fifty people out and test them all. How many have a cold? Probably at least 25%. So what? Everyone gets a cold every now and then. This is true. But guess what? In the past couple of decades, new diseases have been sprouting up out the wazoo that science hasn't even found a treatment or cure for all of them yet. With millions of Earth's population going homeless, people will end up densely populating small cities and towns. If you think of how a big city will have rat, roach, and other vermin problems, this is one of the reasons why—because so many people live there, spreading germs, littering, smoking, you name it. This is how these densely populated cities and towns will end up if it isn't stopped. So, are you seeing the chain reaction? Let me list it out: Raised carbon dioxide levels due to pollution Earth's temperature raises considerably, increasing average global temperature Polar ice caps begin to melt rapidly Ocean levels begin to rise, changing the world map for the worse Millions of people worldwide are left homeless People have to move in closer together to fit on whatever land is left Diseases will begin to spread, as well as death. Okay, so maybe there is a little problem here. But there's nothing we can do, now. WRONG. WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG!!!! So, we can't fix the problem in a year. We can't fix it in five years. However, if people adhere to the 3R's (reduce, reuse, recycle), use as much energy-efficient technology and techniques as possible, we can provide hope for the future generations. But how can we mere humans make such a big difference? There it is. The biggest question asked pertaining to the matter, and a sad question. A very, very sad question. Think about what humanity has accomplished! For example, when Adolf Hitler angered Europe with his power-hungry attitude, nations across the globe banded together to fight World War II to bring back international peace. If we banded together to fight ONE MAN . . . why can't we band together to fight for our home we call Earth? For centuries, humans have survived without technology. Now, don't think I'm about to say give up your SmartPhone; Lord knows I can't survive without my laptop. All I'm saying is this: we've made technology to make our lives easier, cleaner, faster, and more efficient. Why can't we start making and using technology more suitable for fixing Earth's growing problem? And maybe you can't afford the energy-efficient technology. Me neither. But you can still play a part in helping. Try carpooling to school or work, taking your recyclable materials to your nearest recycling center, or to someone who can deliver it there. This next paragraph is directed more toward my country, America. Sadly, America is responsible for about one-third of global warming, which is more than most of Europe combined. We have made several—SEVERAL—laws, regulations, and other national security surveillance to keep out terrorists—especially since the 9/11 attacks in New York. So much we've done to protect America, but what have we done to try and reduce our carbon dioxide output? China won't even buy automobiles from us because we don't meet their fuel-efficiency requirements. It's sad, really, that we don't think of reasons behind the Chinese's reasoning . . . If you love the earth, and you want to protect it, copy this into your profile to spread the word and add your username to the list below. Something as simple as informing others about global warming can help. PB7 OBITUARY FOR THE LATE MR. COMMON SENSE Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as: Knowing when to come in out of the rain; why the early bird gets the worm; Life isn't always fair; and Maybe it was my fault. Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge). His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned, but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition. Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get Parental consent to administer Calpol, sun lotion or a band-aid to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion. Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband; churches became businesses, and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home because the burglar could sue you for assault. Common Sense finally gave up the will to live after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap and was promptly awarded a huge settlement. Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason. He is survived by his 3 stepbrothers; I Know My Rights, Someone Else Is To Blame, and I'm A Victim. Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing. Being Gay Is Wrong 01) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning. 02) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall. 03) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract. 04) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal. 05) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Britney Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed. 06) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children. 07) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children. 08) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America. 09) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children. 10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans. Re-post this if you believe homophobia is wrong.
