I am Jason Taylor. I was into writing fanfic before I knew the term. In my childhood me and my father would exchange stories in a planetary romance setting called "Fogworld"(a planet covered by a mysterious substance idiomatically known as fog that blocks the use of advanced technology from most parts of the planet). When I discovered Traveller I was enraptured by the detail of the setting and lifted Fogworld whole into this verse with a few modifications creating what I call In Jasons Traveller Universe(assume it to be the same as Canon for the Gurps version unless otherwise indicated; modifications are in fact fairly rare) simply by settling outworlders on part of Fogworld where the "Fog" is thin enough for space travel to be practical. I continued writing in this way as a hobby for ages; some stories never actually got written anywhere but in my head but some I actually got out to family and friends. Here is a chance to write publically.

The lack of stories based on the Traveller setting has in fact always bemused me. It always seemed to me that such a wonderful setting should have a great epic to go with it. Unfortunately I cannot write great epics at least not yet; I simply haven't the stamina. I can however write FanFic and I have finally found a site to do so.

The complexity and span of Traveller makes it hard to give it due credit. The best solution I have come up with is to use a Framing Device. In my case I intend at least the first few of my stories to be set in a Posh Hotel on Glisten where there is a tradition of storytelling. Glisten is chosen because it has a small volume describing it, and because it is a frontier port with links to the most interesting places in the Spinward Marches. I do not intend to limit myself to Traveller as a setting. I do however intend to use it a lot.
