The old, mistrustful realist in me wonders how come they are walking the city without a footman or chaperone. But then: They deserve a chance, don't they? ;D

I really enjoyed the banter, not least because of the glimpse of seriousness behind the jokes.

So with all those girls taking a leaf out of Éowyn's book there will be an army of Shieldmaidens in Ithilien besides the Whithe Guard. (No I'm not mean enough to call it the Pink Guard, but it would be a riot" ;D )

I don't know how I missed that you had started posting this, but I only stumbled across it last night.
I like the way you stay within canon and come up not only with references to the book but also keep the characters ringing true. From how Tolkien portraits Éomer I can very well imagine that he believes it would have been best had he had a chance to see faramir in battle to judge his character. ;)
