Author has written 22 stories for Avatar, Miles Vorkosigan, Chalion series, and Honor Harrington. Scott Washburn is a writer who got his start writing fan fiction. First he started with Honor Harrington fan fiction, then Avatar fan fiction and ultimately fan fiction set in the worlds of Lois McMaster Bujold. In between, however, he also wrote some original stories and after a long struggle has finally started to get them published! Right now he has an acclaimed series of books called The Great Martian War, which answers the question: What would have happened if the Martians had not given up after their first failed invasion, so brilliantly chronicled in H.G. Wells' classic "War of the Worlds"? The Great Martian War is an Alt-History/MilSciFi/Steampunk adventure which has been extensively researched to present an accurate setting in 1908 America. Teddy Roosevelt is president and men like Edison and Tesla are hard at work to build new weapons to fight the Martian invaders. Four books are currently available and more are due out soon. They are published through Winged Hussar Publishing and are available through Amazon or Barnes & Noble. |
