As a writer, I tend to have a couple of stories going at once. It's because writing is a bit of a pressure valve for me, and while all my stories will be finished and are all thoroughly outlined (and most have many chapters you haven't seen yet because they're being edited or, in the case of "Hold On" because it's really long and I didn't write everything in the order it appears and skipped around a bit, and chapters are being edited), for the most part, I write what I need to write at that moment. Having a couple of stories in the works allows me to do that and make progress in each of them without getting blocked and while working within my own state of mind. Sometimes, when life is really stressful, it's hard to write a sweet love story, and when life is going totally awesome I don't always want to pull myself into the dark places some of my stories demand, because I do write by getting into my characters' heads to an extent. It's how I understand their perspectives and motivations.

So, rest assured, your favorites WILL be updated and finished. And remember, is the case with most fiction, my stories are FICTION and are generally a product of me looking at characters and wondering "Hmm...what if...?"
