AN: Unbeta'd and not exactly what I want for the conclusion. My muse has run off but when she returns I shall attempt to fix this up and expand on not only the conclusion but the last few chapters. Until then please enjoy the conclusion to Finding Ms. Mitchell.

Chapter 22:

16 months later...

Smiling as she watched the multitude of celebrities being ushered to their seats for the premiere of The Hidden Doorway, Andrea allowed herself a chance to really enjoy the moment. Over the past year things were hectic with work on the film, the final leg of her latest book tour, and working on the budding relationship with her former boss. Things were going well for them and true to her word, Miranda had retired from Runway only a few months prior to this event. The final issue under her reign flew from shelves with the world wanting to see the grand exit of the Queen of Fashion. Grand it was and the media attention garnered was beyond anything either of the ladies imagined. The staff at Runway had all come together to throw her a farewell party and many previous employees showed up to share their appreciation for the formidable woman that helped direct their careers.

After her retirement, Miranda spent most of her time travelling between Los Angeles and Knoxville with her daughters. Plans were in the works for the Priestly women to move down to Tennessee to be closer to the young author and her daughter. The few arguments between the former editor and her young lover were a great source of entertainment for their children and always resulted in a visit for the two families to spend time together. After the last major argument it was decided, mainly by Miranda, that the Priestly women would move to Tennessee where Miranda would open her first fashion house.

The flashing of the house lights alerted Andrea to the fact that things were close to starting and she quickly made her way to the area where she would be sitting with her family and a few of the actors from the movie. Smiling widely she exchanged pleasantries with her companions as well as thanking the few who enthusiastically praised her for the project. When the house lights flashed again she quickly made her way to her seat between Kaydence and Miranda while trying to hide her nervousness.

"How exciting is this?" Cassidy inquired bouncing slightly in her seat, "I can't believe it is actually happening. I mean, I knew it was going to happen but, it's right now really happening." the young redhead finished her hands gesturing wildly as she spoke.

Letting out a soft chuckle Miranda nodded, "It is very exciting. I am very proud of you girls. You have done such an outstanding job and showed great work ethic over the past year. I am looking forward to seeing the completed project."

Before anything else could be said amongst the group, Stacy appeared before the gathered group catching everyone's attention. The theatre quickly quieted and with a bright smile Stacy lifted on her mic and addressed the audience, "Good evening ladies and gentlemen. First and foremost I would like to thank you all for attending tonight's premiere of The Hidden Doorway. Production for this film was started just over a year ago and it has been a very fun project to work on. I would like to take this time to thank everyone who had a hand in putting this project together and I would like to give a very heartfelt thank you to Kenzie Mitchell for allowing us to turn her amazing literature into a fascinating film."

Loud applause interrupted Stacy's speech and she smiled indulgently and allowed it to go on for a few moments. Smiling at Andrea when their eyes met Stacy continued, "Tonight we are all in for an adventure to an exotic land that houses mythical creatures and beauty beyond this world. Together we will journey with the Cole twins and learn the meaning of bravery, teamwork, and loyalty. Out of respect for the artists that worked so hard on this film we ask that you silence all phones and prepare for the journey of a lifetime. Without further delay, I present to you The Hidden Doorway."

More applause followed as the lights dimmed and the screen lit up with the company logo before fading into the opening scene.

"Amazing. Simply amazing." Kaydence stated as the lights came up at the end of the movie. Andrea nodded in agreement still momentarily speechless after watching the her work come to life.

"That was awesome!" Hayden exclaimed bouncing on her toes in front of the adults. "I almost forgot it was Caroline and Cassidy! Did you see me in my scene? I looked so grown up."

Chuckling Miranda nodded in agreement, "It was a very believable performance. I must admit, I was pleasantly surprised even with seeing the project being put together. You girls were splendid."

Hayden beamed and the twins blushed slightly with beaming smiles at the praise from the fashion maven. Before either could respond however Stacy approached with Kenna on her heels.

"The movie is a great hit with this audience! The press would like a short interview if you are up to it Ms. Mitchell. Everyone is very excited and the buzz for the film is all positive." Kenna said with a beaming smile.

Andy was hesitant to say yes, even with all the book tours and publicity for the film she'd managed to stay out of the spotlight. Doing these interviews would put her in the public eye and take away her anonymity. She did not want the public fame that came along with her success but she felt as if she owes it to her fans to do the interview about her books and the transition to the big screen. In addition she silently acknowledge that life as she knew it was quickly coming to an end. With a soft sigh she nodded, "I'll do the interview but I want you to double up the security around the "Manor". I don't want cameras invading our home life." Andrea replied.

Kenna nodded and pulled out her palm pilot to make note of her bosses request, "We'll keep it brief, no more than 10 minutes. Just some basic questions and then we'll get you ladies out of here."

"Are you alright Andrea?" Miranda asked as she stepped onto her back porch behind the author.

"Of course. Why wouldn't I be?" Andy responded with a soft smile turning to look at the woman that captured her heart many years ago.

Miranda wrapped her arms around the waist of the young woman enjoying the feel of the brunette in her arms, "You gave up a lot today in order to please the masses. It would be understandable if you were not alright."

Andy shrugged slightly and leaned into the older woman, "I avoided the spotlight for so long for so many reasons. One of the main reasons was to keep you from finding me when I was still too vulnerable and apprehensive to handle a confrontation. When that passed it was about keeping my anonymity and being able to walk the streets without unwanted attention. Today I realized I will never be about to avoid the spotlight. I am in love with Miranda Priestly for one. No matter what you do or where you go, you will forever be an icon. Our children are literally now movie stars and when the movie opens in theatres they will become the faces of this series. I am going to end up in the spotlight one way or another because I will not keep them from living their dreams. It's better I do it on my terms and in my way than hiding out until they find me. In the end, the only thing that matters is my family."

Miranda hummed in agreement, "The manor's location is still unknown to anyone outside of your staff and family. However even if they find it, there is no way anyone is getting close to the house without our knowledge. We can still hideout from the press as we see fit."

Andrea nodded and then let out a soft laugh, "We should probably head back to Knoxville tonight while I am still unknown."

"If you truly would like to we still have the production company's jet. May I ask why you want to leave so soon darling? I thought we decided to spend the weekend here"

Smiling Andrea turned to face her love, "I have a feeling that come tomorrow morning, the entire world is going to be trying to get a glimpse Kenzie Mitchell. If we leave now before my face is all over the television and news papers, for a while, they'll have no chance of finding Ms. Mitchell."

End. Thank you for taking this journey with me!
