I think it was high time that I updated this.

I'm Calliope - the Muse of Epic Poetry if anyone didn't understand my Pen Name. The muses are the followers of Apollo and the daughters of Zeus and Mnemosyne, memory. They symbolise different aspects of art and science and Calliope stands for the long, narrative poems.

I'm a twenty three years old university student from the south of Sweden. I've studied ancient history for a year, but now I'm in my fourth year towards becoming an engineer in nanotechnology. I love to write fanfiction though I have absolutely no control over my characters. They do exactly as they please and I can do nothing more than trying to keep up. (However, Due to a very heavy work load I seldom have time to write, but I have not given up on "Bright Minds". It will be finnished and if you are patient enough to stay with me I'm amazed beyond being able to express my gratitude.)

I'm a great fan of Snape-Hermione fiction (they truly are made for each other, aren't they?), but otherwise I don't care too much about pairings, though a few are just disgusting and I can not stand Hermione-Ron (they are far too different and I can't belive that Hermione would fall for someone as immature as Ron). I'm definitely a happy ending kind of person, but sometimes a really good drama/angst could be nice and I don't mind a bumpy road.

I've loved Hermione Granger since the beginning (though she kind of started to behave very childish and not at all what I would imagine her doing in the last two books). She is so much like me (or I'm so much like her) and Ron and Harry definitely needs someone to sort them out - a clever voice of reason. You just have to admit it, without Hermione, Ron and especially Harry would have been dead quite a few times, even back in the Phliosopher's Stone.

When it comes to Severus Snape I have to admit that I wasn't a very big fan of him in the beginning. I fell in love with Alan Rickman's voice (who hasn't?) and I loved his speech, but I didn't like him. However, then he sort of grew on me and after reading Snape's Worst Memory I was lost. He conquered my heart and I will not accept anyone calling him evil. I do not, however, like that Rowling had him being in love with Lily.

Finally I’ll give you my favourite quotations from the books though mostly from the first and fifth book (the pages all refer to the British paperback versions):

‘I can teach you how to bottle fame, brew glory, even stopper death – if you aren’t as big a bunch of dunderheads as I usually have to teach.’ (p. 102, tPS)

‘Maybe he’s left,’ said Harry, ‘because he missed out on the Defebce Against the Dark Arts job again

‘Or he might have been sacked!’ said Ron enthusiastically. ‘I mean, everyone hates him.’

‘Or maybe,’ said a very cold voice right behind them, ‘he’s waiting to hear why you two didn’t arrive on the school train.’ (p. 62, tCoS)

Snape’s upper lip was curling. Harry wondered why Lockhart was still smiling; if Snape had been looking at him like that he’d been running as fast as he could in the opposite direction. (p. 142, tCoS)

A slightly stunned silence greeted the end of the speech then Ron said, ‘One person can’t feel all that at once, they’d explode.’

‘Just because you’ve got the emotional range of a teaspoon doesn’t mean that we all have,’ said Hermione nastily, picking up her quill again. (p. 406, tOotP)

‘You can make more, can’t you?’ she said, her voice getting more sweetly girlish as it always did when she was furious.

‘Certainly,’ said Snape coldly. ‘It takes a full moon-cycle to mature, so I should have it ready for you in about a month.’ (p. 656, tOotP)

‘I have no idea,’ said Snape coldly. ‘Potter, when I want nonsense shouted at me I shall give you a Babbeling Beverage. And Crabbe, loosen your hold a little.
