This was seriously good, one of the most well-written one-shots I've seen. Your characterisation and pacing were immaculate.

Lockhart beamed. "Certainly. I'll just stay here, why don't I, and you can go down to the other end of the room and let me know when you're ready."

This seemingly innocent snapshot shows how you nailed down Lockhart to absolute perfection. Of course he would make Flitwick walk to the other end of HIS classroom. There were so many more moments like this in your story that added up to make it so overwhelmingly concrete.

Excellent work.

Poor Severus. And the students all wonder why he's the grumpiest among the Head of Houses. xD

I having colleagues who taught you when you were going through puberty really is detrimental. They'll have you doing all the dirty work. xD

Hahaha! Good for Filius. No wonder he didn't use Flitwick as his dueling partner. I especially enjoyed the way Lockhart's wand got caught in the lace on his outfit.

Oh dear, such an easy mistake to make, Severus and Sybli are so similar after all...

This must have been fun to write; it certainly came across that way, with all the little jokes woven in. I never thought about how strange it was that Flitwick wasn't involved instead of Snape - now I know!
