1. Harry Potter / Guyver:

Option 1: He is taken to Japan and left there. He is either taken to Chronos, or remains free. Either way, he returns before Hogwarts starts. Year doesn't matter.

Option 2: He returns to the Chamber of Secrets. He finds a non-standard Unit in the Chamber. Chronos can either leave him alone, or go after him. Year must be after Chamber of Secrets.

2. Harry Potter / Halo: After Harry defeats Voldemort, he is forced through time to the era of Halo. The method of movement is your choice. He is also reverted an age slightly older than most of the candidates, and his DNA must, for whatever reason you choose, be 100% compatible. Both he and John-117 must wind up on the Pillar of Autumn when it reaches the first ring and go with Master Chief. Anything else is for you to decide.

3. Harry Potter / Narnia: Harry encounters Aslan before he reaches Hogwarts, and this has a positive impact on his life. He discovers many secrets in the process. Narnia has long since passed back into the void it once was. When he reaches Hogwarts, the scar is missing...

4. Harry Potter / Eureka: Harry, after the final battle, finds out that his family owns the majority of a town called Eureka, including the site that it sits on and a large parcel of land around it. He decides to move there and do what he can to help out, becoming a fairly permanent resident, only leaving for meetings in the British Wizarding World. The town takes a twist when Jack Carter arrives, and becomes its new sheriff after the canon pilot. This reality starts to diverge more and more as time passes...

Okay, so the Final War thing isn't going to work out. Yet. I'm too busy to be thinking about that. Sorry. But, that doesn't mean I'm not brainstorming ideas anyway for a different story. Besides, I really need to keep my creativity flowing.

And now with the more recent crackdowns due to people being prudes and not being able to read warnings and disclaimers properly, I honestly don't have any particular desire to actually write and publish on the site...wonder where else I can go then? I know some of the slightly more explicit-than-non-explicit stuff was a little disturbing for me, but if I did see a warning I did skip that section. Sometimes it didn't add much anyway, and sometimes it was sort of a needed section to make sense of things after, and if I felt lost, I sometimes would go back to read it anyway, or was able to figure out what happened anyway.

Thoughts and Opinions:

I've noticed a few crossover combinations that seem to be repeatedly well done whether by certain ideas or authors, it still remains that they are very well done. Perhaps my favorite so far is Harry Potter and the Star Wars universes. I suppose that's because it can easily be sewn together. Padawan Lynne with both of her series has done a marvelous job. Her current series for the HP/SW arc, is the Walking a New Path series. There are other stories done by various authors, but sometimes they don't flow nearly as well, or not really at all. The Harry Potter/Digimon crossover is also interesting, just because it is simply more easily done as it is on Earth, yet at the same time harder. After all, how would you explain to a DigiDestined, or Tamer about magic? I haven't seen many true Harry Potter/James Bond stories, but Potter, Harry Potter by Faenor, and Sometimes, is Not Enough by BurningIceCream, definitely have a great things going for them. There other crossover types, but those are my favorites.

Also, in terms of our world, the Earth we all know and love, there is much we can learn. There is no one set definition or form for anything. No one set mould of a person or idea. To assume otherwise is to invite disaster. To assume otherwise is to invite war. Our world, would not be able to withstand another World War. To attempt to understand the hidden, without first understanding its veil, is both arrogant, and very dangerous, as is attempting to leash that which is far beyond your own ability to comprehend, understand, or handle. Humans, by default are arrogant, and self-serving. Our mindset won't allow us to aproach Utopia, and even then, Utopia will only exist in dreams, books and movies. No one is perfect, we all have faults.

As there is Light, there must be Darkness. For every Good, there is an Evil. The greater the evil, the greater the good that will counter-act it. People forget this, and to think that there should only be good, forget when no evil exists for periods of time, everything becomes stagnant and people forget the bad times. Without Darkness, there is no Light. Finding the perfect balance requires delicate movement within the spectrum. When it happens, there is twilight, neither perfect dark, nor perfect light. When light is cast there are shadows that hide the evil. A candle alone in the dark has a harder time lighting up the area, but it's affect can be better than many together.

Though I am not a veteran myself, I do know, and have known many who are. My grandfather was in the East, though not in combat. I think for that I am grateful. Yet, there are times I think back to what it must have been like in Pearl Harbor that fateful day, or on D-Day. For those that gave their life for freedom, and to be able to do as we please within reason, I think that it is impossible for me to truly understand what happened on those days. I do support our current troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, though the war itself wasn't the best course of action, I do not know the information it was based upon, or the lack of information. But, to those who read this who are in Iraq, or have been in Iraq, my heart goes out to you and your family. My heart goes out to all in the military. I do not wish to join, partly out of what has happened, and partly, because, the fight for Iraq is not mine. It is not my fate, not my destiny. I will not under a man who uses war to avenge his father. I will not fighter under a Commander in Chief who tries to sway through deceit, who removes the freedom of the people, no matter the reason. I will however, give my life for my country when I feel it can be given, and not have died in vain. We went in with no exit strategy, and no concept of how long it would take to extract ourselves from Iraq, and that in and of itself is unforgivable. There was no excuse. Sometimes, I have wondered what our past leaders would have said, what FDR would have said about our nation, how Lincoln would have viewed everything, how Washington would have viewed our "Operation Iraqi Liberation" as Mr. Bush originally referred to Iraq as. I cannot and will not condone war, unless it is the absolutely last resort, and if and only if, we are deliberately attacked like Pearl Harbor, though I hope it never happens again. We should have stopped at Afghanistan.. We had no reason whatsoever to enter Iraq.

Here in America, Presidential primary season is in full effect, and the race is wild. First off, every state who have now held the Republican Primaries all have different winners. The Democratic Primaries are so screwed up, it's not even funny, and all the Democratic National Committee can think about is how two state are now stripped of their delegates? If it were me, yes, the states did disobey the rules (and I live in Michigan admittedly) , but to strip a state of all of its delegates? At least the Republican National Committee had far more sense and level heads. However, the rule stating that the traditional first four are far outdated now, especially with Michigan's economy falling under disrepair, and the candidates are doing little to discuss options to correct this long lived imbalance since NAFTA went into effect. I watched Lou Dobbs on the night of the Michigan Primary, and had called the response to Michigan's new primary date "arrogant". Since Michigan is a battle ground state for November, it is slightly critical to maintain good relations with the state's general population, as well as registered voters. If by some action the DNC does not reverse its decision by the convention date, then the Democrats can all but kiss Michigan's (and Florida's) electoral votes good-bye making it that much more difficult to win the election, and for the first time in a very long time (since 1988, the voters younger than twenty wouldn't have necessarily been born then) the state of Michigan would then be taken by the Republicans. So, the question then becomes is it worth it to enforce the rules the way they did to lose possibly both of the swing states whose totaled electoral votes that outweigh New York and are a relatively close comparison to California, the US's largest electoral holder? With the economy riding the top of the opinion polls in the state as a concern in Michigan, and no Democratic candidate talking about the economy, it's hard to want to side with them, especially since the DNC is all but abandoning the two states to their own devices.

It's been a while since I updated/added anything on. Why is it that I keep reading stories in English that have names clearly misspelled, the grammar being nonsensical, and/or the quotation marks don't actually appear? Are people really seriously that lazy to go through spell check or go through a beta? Sorry, had to get that out.

So, I've been working on what I want to be my first multi-chapter work. A Power Ranger's piece. Something on sacrifices, and possibly an Armegeddon-ish thing. The event, not the movie. Anyway, so, I was thinking to myself as I read some of these stories, and looking at little kids who go on and on about the Power Rangers, the Jungle Fury one that is. And I keep thinking 'Kid, I saw the first years, the first era of Power Rangers. That was waay before you were a twinkle in your parents' eyes.' I inevitably think 'damn, I feel old saying that.' And it's true. I am old, for a Power Rangers Fan. I sort of regrew back into it lately, just keeping tabs on the current, Jason would call them 'Rookies' I think. Anyway, I just keep tabs, but I'm always willing to relive the glory days of Mighty Morphing and Zeo, though MMPR had to be the best simply because it was the first, and it set the bar for every Ranger who came after them.

I used to as a kid go 'It'd be great to be a Ranger, wouldn't it?' Of course towards my earlier fandom stint, I'd get odd looks. And, call me crazy, even though there's violence in the form of the battles the show does teach moral values and does it in a clearly fantasy world.

With the 29th Olympiad now officially underway after the opening ceremonies, the world seems a far different place, if only, through the eyes of a film director, born and raised in China, do we see what could be. Not just a dream, or an ideal, but a possibility, and a hope. We are one people, one race, on one world, Earth. It is ours to care for, to nurture, to borrow. We need to learn to give back what we take, sustainability, and to hopefully leave a far better, cleaner, healthier and more prosperous world for our descendants. Having been at work while the ceremonies were being shown on TV, I recorded it, and watched it this morning, her in the good ole' US of A. Much could be said of China, of the People's Republic. Some of it good, some of it bad, but above it all, this will be a Games to be remembered, as will the opening ceremony. Never have I witnessed such a monumental event, one of all four and a half hours long. Many precendents have been set over the years, some years topping others, but perhaps, this year's Opening Ceremonies, I think I will remember, if only for the electrifying and emotional display. Good Luck Olympians, go further, faster, and better. May your struggle show you what you can achieve, and may your glory, no matter how small, be a bright as a star. Challenge yourself to do better than what you did before. You are now in the world's eyes, so no pressure, right?

So, I've been dwelling, at least pondering. And some of the stories in My Favorites actually make sense sort of at a deeper level to me. This is after reading them literally, hundreds of times. Like, Psycho Matrix I find enjoyable not only because of the uniqueness, which is very cool, but because at a deeper, much more hard to find level, it's more about redemption, both on the Pyscho Rangers' part, and on their enemy turned ally. At the same time, it's like reading some short horror novel that you can't put down, because it's addictive, or keep reading it because, even though it's somewhat horrifying, it's still a really good story. And in that way, it's like watching a train wreck, it's impossible to put down, even in the most horrifying parts.

But, there are other stories, like I don't know, Going for Gold...and Black, that's just all around too good to put down. And not even really in a bad way, though if it's late then it might be bad, but you get it, right? Good.

Over a year has passed since I last wrote...my bad. That was not my intention. Time ran away from me, as it does happen, what with finishing college, and reading, and working. These passed Winter games were intimate, tragic, heroic, and far more grander than the largest display at Macy's, simply for the sheer intimacy in the opening ceremonies. To me, the Winter Olympic Games were more inspiring, and far more worthy of praise from the sheer danger level of all of the sports involved. About the only sport in the Winter Games with very little danger factor to the competitors involved would probably be the dancing and curling. Everything else has broken bones, concussions, sprained joints, and like in the case this year, death, waiting for you if you aren't careful.

In any case, every time I get online here, I am amazed at the insight that can be found from reading a simple story. A profound understanding that surpasses the greatest wise man, simply for the compassion, caring, dedication, and truth to self displayed by the characters. What do I mean? I grew up watching Power Rangers as a kid. It was something to look forward to when I got home, and when I got up on Saturday mornings. And even now, I look back, and looking beneath the surface, it's amazing at the qualities given to everyone, perhaps by the actors, chance, the writers, or whatever, but the profound truths of it, and others, like Harry Potter, are as awesome as they are haunting and beautiful.

Months pass, seasons go by, passing our hearts and minds, do we merely watch them see them pass, like leaves in a river? Or do we embrace everything of the season, embracing our humanity, our mortality? Our flawed self, seeking perfection, never finding, but seeking all the same? To which that do we owe life? A comet? A star? A god? Is not life not just about day and night, but about how we spend the time of each?

The more I read, the more I see truth, and wisdom. The more I see both, the more humanity begins to grow on me again. A wandering heart does no good if nothing good comes from the wandering.

The winter holidays are here, and amongst it all, I find myself pondering, and meditating. Not passive meditation, but active meditation, letting my thoughts roam the nether space of my brain while doing a relatively mindless task. The more I think on the holidays, the more quiet I become, and the more compassionate I find myself, and I find myself at a level of inner peace, that honestly, sometimes freaks me out.

My heart extends to those with little on their table, and who live day to day, not knowing if they'll eat. May this season be one of joys, happiness, compassion, and miracles. The joy of a warm hug, a place that is warm to sleep these cold winter nights. The happiness of some of the simpler joys, That which can make even a child smile with their whole being. The compassion for someone who is less fortunate these holidays, and for those who you do not like, or are not like you. The miracles that come with this season, of the good unexpected surprises.
