Welcome to my profile.

My name is DJ, (Alias: Daniel Rydell (or dwr)), and I am a member of the budding company Flex Designs Ltd. (specifically, the head of Quality Assurance.). If you already know me, then there’s really no need for you to read my “About” page, since you already know far, far more about me than I’d like to type here. However, I’m also not egotistical enough to think that everyone knows me.

The boring details are as follows:

As of the time of writing this, I am 28 years old. I live right outside Lansing, Michigan, and am currently employed as a first level IT technician. In my spare time, I'm pushing forward with Flex Designs, gaming, and trying to write when the muse strikes.

I’m opinionated, though I don’t usually show that. I have a sense of humor that may take some getting used to. I have strong opinions on some things, and other things I could care less about. All in all, I’m fairly average.

Music

I’m a huge fan of music. I love all forms of music, though some not as much as others. I listen to most eras of music, by any number of artists, and I like to think that I can see good in any song, or any artist.

Television

For quite some time, I rarely got into television shows. Between working, and lack of interest, I found that I simply had better things to do. I did manage to catch a few episodes of things here and there, but for the most part I couldn’t be bothered.

With a bit more time on my hands, I’ve gotten into a number of currently running and previously running shows. Again, my tastes are varied, and I often surprise myself by what I end up finding enjoyable.

My current favorites are just some of the following:

Video Games

A big part of my life has been video games (and I don’t think that I’m alone in saying that). I think that the creativity that has been lost in much of the entertainment market is reborn in the video game industry. Some of what I’m playing currently include:

The Runic Legacy:
Status: On Hiatus
Final Fantasy IX based story with an original story and original characters based during the events of FFIX. Clouded Horizons/Flex Designs based project. While Zidane and his friends work to save the world from the obvious, a smaller group led by a member of Tantalus and a knight from Alexandria combat the hidden threats at work.

Foreshadow of Memory - Reloaded:
Status: On Hiatus
Final Fantasy X/X-2 interim story which is a rewrite of Foreshadow of Memory. Lenne talks Auron through his "death," but, not everything is as it appears.

Excursion:
Status: On Hiatus/Possibly Complete
Final Fantasy I-XIII based-drabbles that come to me on occasion.

The Heiress:
Status: In Process
Final Fantasy VIII based original story with mostly original characters, based within Nightfire05's Dimensional Legend (part of the Clouded Horizons multiverse).

The Warrior:
Status: On Hiatus.
Post-Final Fantasy VIII based original story with Sailor Moon influence. When the SeeD Commander of Trabia Garden is approached by a Pillar of Reality to protect a Dollet girl, he has no idea what it will spark.
